I use Natralus Essential Paw Paw and the redness, itch and pain went in about 20 minutes. I swear by the stuff.

Option 1: apply vaseline on upper lip as a layer before shaving, it might help.

Option 2: laser hair removal for permanent fix.

Also, do not forget to switch to a new razor - I've noticed I do not get the dry, red, flakey
stuff on corners of my upper lip when razor is new or newer....only when it's a razor I've used more than 2 weeks or so

I have sensitive skin issues every few months, sometimes on face, sometimes on hands, sometimes from fabric, sometimes from shaving. While following the right shaving techniques is the key to minimize problems like razor bumps, folliculitis, eczema etc.but try having a clove of raw garlic every morning. It doesn't taste good at all. I do it before even brushing my teeth in the morning and then have half a liter of water because garlic tastes sharp. However, expect to see significant improvement in skin problems in one to two months. I suggest that you use good shaving cream, single blade razor, good moisturizers etc. but include garlic in your skin care regimen. As an added benefit and contrary to what may seem obvious, garlic also cures foul breath.

Hair growing back faster and thicker is just a myth. It has been proven that it is because of the way the razor's slash through the hair's and when the light hit it makes hairs appear thicker or bigger. As for faster all mind games.

I have a mixture of a few of your problems combined but it sounds like we're all in this together. Sorry for opening up an old thread but I'm wondering if anyone ever found something that ACTUALLY works. I've dealt with this for a few years at least. I work in EMS so because of the n95 masks that we potentially have to wear, it is absolutely forbidden to not have a completely clean shaven face. I mean it, if you're caught with a 5 o'clock shadow at work you are sent home and written up, it's bad. Mine is always red it seems to some extent (looks as though I have a pink mustache so it's embarrassing and a lot of times it's really dry/flakey and I have to make sure I keep picking the flakes off so it doesn't look like I have dried boogers under my nose on top of it.) Mine seems to get the worst when I have to shave day after day, like when I'm working my 4-5 days in a row. It also does really bad if I'm off work for a week or 2 and completely let it grow out. At least then it's covered some but it's still itchy/irritating and very flakey under the hair. It does best in between those 2 situations like when I have 2-3 days off and don't shave but even then it's still always there somewhat. I too have tried everything I could find and a few different things the Dr prescribed with nothing working. Some diaper rash cream that I can't remember exactly what it is has helped the most, mainly with the itching/irritation but nothing will take away my pink mustache with white flakes. Looking pretty hideous over here so if any of you found something I'd love to hear it. Thanks for any help.

I had this exact issue for around 12 months. Pinky red rash around my mouth/moustache area that cycled through phases of red and itchy, then flaky. I used this thread to try diff things on it for example I tried...t gel, head and shoulders, tea tree oil, e45, Vaseline, sudocrem, Elizabeth Arden 8hr and anti fungal cream and various steroidal creams from doctors but nothing worked! I HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN RID OF IT! My doctor prescribed me actavis Hydrocortisone 1% cream to apply for 10 days twice a day. By the 7th day my rash was almost gone I literally couldn’t believe it. By 10 days is was totally gone. Iv continued to apply this once a week now to keep it at bay as well as moisturisng daily with Doublebase gel isopropyl myristate that my doctor also recommended. I seriously hope everyone will read my comment and it will help as I was so annoyed and angry with this rash for 12 months!

Shaving doesn't really speed up hair growth. If you shave you might notice that your hair tends to "look" thicker and may appear darker but the hair growth will remain the same. Hair growth increases as normal even if you shave or not.
