I was slowly getting better at the two moths mark after my operation. Managing to drive and get through the whole day with slight soreness here and there, even went out dancing! However after 3 months I noticed the lower back pain restarting and the same swollen feeling in my rectum again with difficulty sitting walking and driving again. I can also feel some small lumps on one side although their not nearly as big as the three grade 3 hemmeroids I had removed. Although my surgeon did sayI had a small fistula which might heal itself as he did an anal stretch for it. At the moment I feel cut like pains on both sides and having managed to get a good picture of my behind I can see small very light pinky white lumps and one which has a tunnel running along side it. I think that is the fistula. Perhaps then fissure is what is causing the pain now as I cannot see any haemerrhoids just skin tags. Has anyone else had a relapse of severe pain after three months of the operation. If tis is normal Ill just with for my symtoms to settle. However I've been advised that. Fissure will not heal on its own and requires an operatiototo heal.

Yes, it is possible that hemorrhoids may reoccur, even after hemorrhoidaectomy. The long-term result depends largely on your ability to make changes in your daily bowel habits which will help a lot in making waste removal smooth. You can also get it checked by your health care provider to check if you're having complication.
