To Whom it may concern,
My son (age 14) is back in the hospital for the third time in 12 months for pancreatitis. He had his gall bladder removed on the first attack. He had a temporary stint put in on the second attack because they said he needed better drainage due to him having Pancreas Divisum. Now he is in for the third time and the Doctors dont know why. I have two questions.
Why are the enzymes being activated wile still in the Pancreas and not after they are secreted into the intestines?
Where is the best facility and most prepared doctors for care of a child with recurring Pancreatitis.
Please help with any advise you have.
Thank you for your time.

Im not sure if this will help but chronic pancreatitis in children can be realted to the parathyroid gland, which contributes to calcium levels and calcium absorbtion. COnsider bringing this up to a doctor and have his parathyroid check, he may be suffering from hyperparathyroidism. Not sure if this was what you wanted, but im just in high school and this was something i stumbled upon while researching some conditions for my blog (I write about genetic conditions and etc)
as per my experiance ASIAN INSTITUTE OF GASTROENTOLOGIST in hyderabad having best doctor ( DR NAGESHWAR REDDY ) for this illness.
