I have recently done surgery to ease the phimotic ring I had, and now I have to do exercises by pulling back the foreskin. When I do this, however, it turns inside out, sort of like a banana. Is this normal or should it slide?
That sounds about right, it just sort of peels back. If your frenulum is not getting in the way you should be able to peel it back to where the tip is almost down to the base and your whole shaft is covered with inner foreskin.

Thanks. I have noticed, however, that on the side with the frenulum is slides, and the skin is smoothly stretched, not peeled. Is that normal as well?

Can you say that again? I don't quite know what you mean by "on the side with the frenulum is slides".

When you pull it back the inner skin is quite smooth and it feels good when you stretch it tight while masturbating. With an erection you can pull it back tight enough to make the glans shiny and smooth too, providing your frenulum isn't keeping you from pulling it back that tight.
