Hey.
I had a pretty nasty accident at the end of 07', causing me to sprain both heels and wrists. a few weeks later they both healed and life went on.
In February of '08 I got my right wrist looked at and it turned out I had a scaphoid fracture. Got surgery that month, a screw threw the bone and have been in a various amount of castes sense then until about a week ago.
An xray from the doctor and he said i was healed, and could take the caste off and start wrist therapy. The wrist was stiff but I've been doing fine, no pain really. Today however I had a spill causing me to fall and now my wrist kinda hurts more then it did before.
It wasn't a hard fall, and if the bone really was healed to former strength i wouldn't worry about it. However i'm afraid i might have re fractured it. whats the chance of this happening? I might of just went past the stiffness too much and thats where the pains coming from.
I'd go back and get an xray but the doctor I went too is 150 miles away and my insurance at the moment is in limbo.
Any experience with slight falling after a scaphoid fracture or advice at whats the best course for me to take would be welcomed. Also, if my wrist is re-fractured, does anyone know how hard its going to be to heal again (aka more surgery?)
thanks
