I had my Novasure procedure done 08/23/2012 and I wasn't put under any anesthetic. I thought it was weird when someone had told me they may be going under? I do have a high pain tolerance but it was a pretty harsh cramp I felt during the process. The day of I slept alot but was really nauseous. I think that may have been from the Lortab because once I stopped taking it I felt fine. The next day I woke up to slight cramps but I was able to clean my house with no problems (I had a birthday party to host the following day!). Its been 5 days since I've had it done and I've felt only slight bloating. I had a slight discharge the first 3 days but it was more of the brownish-red color like the ending of a period but it lightened up quickly. Today I felt really bloated which prompted me to see if there was anyone that had experienced the same effects. I'm not too worried about it (especially after reading alot of other posts) because I haven't had near the problems that other people have had! (Thankfully!!) I've been taking Ibuprofen 800mg 2-3 times a day and maybe that has helped me? I also haven't noticed much weight gain so maybe the way the procedure is done is different and that makes for different side effects for everyone?? I'm sure I wasn't helpful or answered any questions but I wanted to comment anyway!

I had the procedure done in June 2009...I went thru all the cramping and pain too, I was taking motrin full strength to curb it...I went back to the doctor to no avail...they had NO EXPLANATION as to why I was having these debilitating cramps. Then I found a GOD send... EVENING PRIMROSE!!!! You can find it at the GNC. I take it once a day and I swear to God there has been no more signs of PMS and NO CRAMPING WHAT SO EVER!!!!
EVENING PRIMROSE IS THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM!!!!

Hello everyone, I had the procedure done April 2012. I was in excruciating pain and bled for 4 weeks but this was not heavy at all. Now I hardly have a period but now my periods are getting less and less but I still get period craps and my breasts get very large and swollen and very painful. The other problem I have is my bowels they have never been the same since I've had the procedure done.

I had the novasure procedure about a week and a half ago. I went the day before my cycle was to come on but i havent had a cycle yet. I am very bloated and if i dont take the pain medicine i cramp really bad at the bottom of my stomach. Long as i take the meds i feel no pain. I guess my question is how long will i have this watery discharge?

I had the novasure procedure done in 2009; everything went fine! No more periods cramping, Nothing. But now October 2013, I'm experiencing cramps that seem not to go away and have been spotting for a week and a half with an ugly brownish discharge. Not enough to wear a pad but definitely rising some concern and dare not to forget the pantyliner. I will be making my doctor's appointment first thing in the morning. Since the novasure I have gained weight and I was experiencing some painful right side pelvic pain. The doctor's did all kinds of ultrasounds, CAT Scans etc. only to find a mild case of fibroids. Nothing to be alarmed about, they said. I did my own research on herbs and found out that Milk Thistle was good for pelvic pain. I started taking it and the pain ceased, completely. But every now and then if I haven't taken the milk thistle for a few months, I can feel the pain easing on in my right pelvic area. But since I am not an OB/GYN doctor, they have to tell me something about this painful cramping and spotting because its very abnormal. Is there anyone else with these problems? I can't believe after four years I'm starting to have problems.

I just had mine done a week ago along with a tubal ligation. My doctor must be very good. Thank goodness. I didn't even have to take any pain meds and am not really bloated at all With little to no bleeding or cramping I am not going to complain. I will wait to see how my periods go from here on out but it can not be worst that they were before.

I had my ablation done about a month ago (March 2015), and my pain lasted about 24 hours. After that, I had no pain whatsoever. As a matter of fact, I went to the gym four days post-op (against my doctor's orders). I didn't even spot except for the day it was done, but nothing since. I went online to see what I could expect when my period is due, as I was unsure if I'll still be getting the regular symptoms if I don't actually have a period. It looks like I can still expect swollen, tender breasts and cramping. I'm sorry so many of you have had such bad side effects. My doctor did tell me, though, at my age (52), I am at risk of having severe cramps during my cycle, and if this does occur I'll have no choice but to have a hysterectomy. We'll see what happens. Also, I've had no bloating or weight gain. Hoping you all the very best.
