I have had similar problems with itchy feet, again there are no other symptoms. Now I had some issues with wool that I am allergic to which could possibly the source of your itching as well. On top of that I also found out that certain washing powders and in particular wash softener/conditioners caused this terrible itching on my feet, I can't use the little sheets of wash conditioner at all they seem to be my worst enemy. Try to avoid the things I mentioned perhaps that is what is causing your itchy feet too. Good luck!

I also suffer from severe itchy soles of the feet, the outer edges are particularly bad.I take statins, and have been told by my doctor it could be a side effect of these. Dosage has been drastically reduced and only taken twice a week now.

I have had insanely itchy feet (Mostly bottoms) for about 8 years now.  No doctor ahs any answers.  No rash, no redness, nothing but insane itching.  Tried every cream, lotion, oil.  It may happen 3 times a day or 3 times a month or every 2 months.  Daytime, nighttime.  I kept a diary for about 1 year to see if I could figure it out.  Nope-no consistantcy.  Anyone get any relief?  How can no doctor not figure this out?

I too suffer this in exactly the same way. For those who do so too try this. At night before going to bed put on a pair of socks, stand in a bowl off iced water until your feet go numb. Pull the sheets at the bottom of your bed up so that your feet will be sticking out. Place a towel on the mattress and hopefully get a good nights sleep. I sometimes have to take a second dip through the night. For me I have to do this for around a week. The problem hits me about two or three times a year. By the way one clue maybe the elevated bilirubin in my urine test.

I can't believe that there are so many of us that suffer from this and that no one appears to really know what causes it or how to stop it. To follow on from everyone else's similar story, it happens to me about 8 times a year and have the most severe itching in the sole of my left foot, I try to stamp the ground which of course has no effect, I always rub it against something to try and help but again no luck other. I will also try to keep a diary to see if there is a pattern to when this happens, but it does appear to happen when I don't drink enough? I will have to keep records of when it happens and reflect on the day.

Like everyone else here, I have had the same problem. I have found complete (although temporary) relief only by slathering the itchy areas with Vick's Vaporub and putting socks on at night. It is the ONLY thing that works. At first it was just one foot, but now it's both feet and it's on the ball of my foot and on the bottom of my big toes. The itch is so bad, it makes my stomach hurt and I've scratched my feet hard enough on the welcome mat that I got a blood blister. (Although, I do have to say, the welcome mat is a perfect "scratching post" :) Anyway, I thought it was Athlete's foot, even though there is no rash or redness or any visible symptom. I've tried EVERYTHING from vinegar to Listerine to every antifungal cream out there. Yes, it's worse at night. I also use the Vick's (or generic brand) if I wear sneakers or any shoes with socks. I put gobs on, but for whatever reason, it isn't uncomfortable or icky feeling even with the shoes. While this does provide relief, it's only addressing the symptom. I have no idea what the underlying problem is and I really want to get rid of it permanently. Based on everything I've read though, going to the doctor seems like a waste of money since they never seem to be able to figure out what is causing it. If anyone figures it out, please post here. Good luck and try the Vick's- it definitely helps!

I get it right foot only. Crazy itch between toes. Doctor only knows it is not athletes foot. I too thought it was a pedicure but it has been 4 years in August since this started. Nothing helps except to turn my attention to something else. Hot weather seems to make it worse. In winter it goes away for one or two weeks at a time. Sometimes moves around to bottom of foot.
