It just happened to me, i thought i was going to die lol. you may be having a reaction to high fructos corn syrup. cut pop from your diet. we are all adults, its time to stop eating like children
This happened to me but it wasn't coke it was cold orange juice. I didn't have gas in it it just hurt inbetween my chest when I swallowed then my body went numb and I faitned.
this happened to my mom just now while she was drinking a glass of cold water. it was scary that i had to check the detail regarding this on google. somebody saw her, she was shaking and her eyes rolled up and he fainted. she said she experienced severe stomach ache and she didn't even noticed it. and a few seconds stood like nothing happened she said her butt has paint due to falling luckily there was someone with her and when she fainted it wasn't where she hit her head.
Same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. I have type I diabetes and my blood sugar was low when I woke up in the middle of the night. I went downstairs and grabbed a soda (7-Up) and started to chug it. Right away it felt like a rock was going down my throat. Then it seemed to hit my stomach and I felt pain like I've never felt before. I had to also use the restroom at the same time, so I staggered over to the bathroom and I could barely stand up to use the toilet. The pain was so intense. I also broke out in a cold sweat and my skin was all clammy. After awhile it kind of calmed down, but it took me awhile to go back to sleep because the pain was lingering. It's been two days and my stomach area still hurts if I take a big gulp of anything. Hopefully this goes away....
this happen to me last night i drank milk kind of fast and all of a sudden it felt like just above my stomach mid way down if felt like it backed up and pain just shot up my body and i passed out woke up pn the kitchen floor it was weird i felt a little weak and went back to sleep that area still is sore it was almost like burping inside me without it coming out of my mouth strangest thing
A similar thing happened to me today at school. It was getting close to lunch time and I was starving so i thought maybe if i had a sip of pop from my lunch i could feel slightly more full. So i take a large sip and swallowed. It almost instantly felt like the pop shot through my stomach. I couldnt hear anything around me and my vision became tunneled i asked my teacher if i could go to the bathroom and my vision became more tunneled and blury. i colapsed in the hallway. Three teachers told me I looked extremely pale and to put my head beween my legs. and so i did. 2 minutes later I felt fine but they called my ride and i went home. It was one of the most painful and scary experiences of my life i had my self convined i was dying at one point. I feer for my health and would love to know what happened here. Thankyou very much.
Its from gas. Gas pain can cause pain in your shoulder. I didn't believe it either until I had my c/section.
-- Suffered with it for 10 years, would have saved myself a lot of time and pain
Well, people still responding to this, so I will chime in. I am no doctor, but have been dealing with issues similar to this, but no faiting. After I eat sometimes, or drink something sometimes, I will get palpitations and a feeling like I will pass out, nervousness, pain etc etc...
I believe its caused by a vagal episode(you can wiki that). There are nerves in the upper part of your stomach/esophagus that are close enough to the vagus nerve, that when stimulated, can indirectly but could severely irritate/stimulate your vagus nerve, causing symptoms of lightheadness, anxiety, palpitations, dizziness, and of course fainting.
And when you faint, it can be quite dramatic looking. (Shaking, etc etc)
So, this pain in the stomach could be irritating nerves that are stimulating the vagus nerve. You faint and have these symptoms because it causes a sudden drop in blood pressure.
