ok so i had an abortion and they said nothin in the vagina for two weeks. well i didnt really make it the two weeks i know i should have but didnt. we waited about a week. im just worried if things got messed up or i could be pregnant again because your very fertile after abortions. im starting to get the symptoms again but im on birth control. i took a take home test and it showed up negative. but then again i also took like 3 before and i had to go to planned parenthood to find out i was. i just need some advice before i go to the doc. thanx
You are on birth control, so that is one thing that makes it LESS likely that you could be pregnant.
ONE WEEK is okay, many docs say one week, some say 2 weeks..It does vary, the biggest thing is prevention of an INFECTION.. But you would know if you had an infection.
The PILL can make your breasts sore, and give you similar pregnancy like symptoms.

after you have an abortion you CAN become preg. two weeks after...and if you waited one week after having an abortion to have sex that is fine,but any sooner can be harmful to your uterus.

I'm also concerned about the same thing... My doctor told me nothing in the vagina for three weeks and I had sex at two weeks. I didn't realize i wasn't ready yet. Now I've started bleeding again. At first it was brownish spotting, but recently it's been more bright red blood. Also, I've been experiencing painful urination and slight itching. I've started taking another antibiotic but I'm embarrassed to call the clinic because I didn't properly follow their orders.
What do you think it is? Did we re-open a wound? or could it be an infection??

the same has happened to me kinda ... i stopped bleeding after 2 weeks so i decided to have sex with my bf again .. we were protected. about a week later i stared bleeding again and my stomache has been getting pains every now and thn .. i thot it was a normal period setting back in but today it has become heavier than i have ever experianced .. i have been worried about it being infected. can anyone help before i see a doctor.

I think that you could have sex safely although what was the method that was used for getting an abortion? Have you consulted with someone about it? I think it would be a good idea. What do you think?
I had sex with my gf after 2 weeks of abortion. She seems fine without having any problem or pain. We still have sex twice/night every week.
