SEX TALK W/ MY 6 YR OLD??? WHAT DO I DO?

Being that I am a college student majoring in education I have read upon numerous statistics about "the talk", STDS, HIV, pregnancy & etc. It shows how about 10% of European people are infected with HIV, because at the ages of 5 & 6 schools are talking about sex. Can you imagine? "Today we will be learning about the alphabets and sex." Being that children are so curious it's never too early to have a talk with your child. If they are educated they are protected. Please understand you all were 5 & 6 too, think of how you were at this age. Sex is when two people (adults) that care for one another share their emotions through their actions. Also include, when you're a little bit older we will talk more about it but for now you're too young to wonder about these things.

My 6 year old recently caught my bf and I putting our clothes on afterward and proceeded to lecture me about having sex with him. She is too embarrassed to actually use the word, but she seems to know the basics. She is super intelligent and has always had a maturity beyond her age, but I'm nervous about her knowing things like this. When I asked her what she thought sex was, she said it was two naked people in bed together kissing. I'm a young mom, so sex is part of my life, how do I talk to her about it being ok for adults?

We here will help you with this, do not be a shame of this. Young children know more then we think they do. Girls and boys know there more than a male having a penis to go and pee. They also see the erection business means something else. Young girls have felt about the boy's body as the boy has feelings for the girl's body. Behavior is normal. It not shame that a 6 year old hears those words. It how they hear it and from who that matters. When my daughter found out what the penis and vagina was for each other that she was excited and grateful that humans can share their bodies together like that. She knew that at 5 years old. Now she understand why the penis gets an erection.

Parents freak out when their child learn something or know about something. Many person had issues when they were a child and they are still dealing with it. What they have to be careful i not take it out on their child because what happen to them as a child. Mother are not better talking to children about sex as the child father is.

There is no right and wrong way to deal with this as everyone brings there child up differently, no one should be judge on what they want to tell there child about sex doesn't matter what the age they should just be offered guidance over it and accept it's the parents choice.
