Hello! I think I have viral conjunctivitis. My left eye is red with some watery discharge. This is not the first time I have these symptoms. Last time (six months ago) it was my right eye which was red and when I visited my doctor he prescribed nothing and he told me this was viral conjunctivitis. Should I see a doc with viral conductivities?
Hello! I think you should visit your doctor anyway. It is always better to do so, to be safe and to avoid possible complications. Also, you never know if you are right. Maybe there is something else that caused the symptoms you have. Viral conjunctivitis is often associated with an infection of the upper respiratory tract, a cold or a sore throat. The symptoms always include watery discharge and itch. The infection usually begins with one eye, but may spread easily to another eye.
