tinkerpoet: I wouldn't wait 10 days. tell doc you need one now! for some doctors you may have to wait months to see. %-)
I think it is a Thyroid problem. It is best you go and see your doctor. Have a look online for more on Thyroid problems.
Hello Tinkerpoet,
i definitely agree with others: you shouldn't wait for more than a week to see a cardiologist, mainly because your general health condition is really not as good so that you could tolerate a week of this. Unless, hopefully, things get better in a few days. The only thing that might cause these symptoms but might get better in the time frame your doctor gave you is the flu - it does cause faster heart rate, not too mention headaches, cold swat and most of other symptoms you experienced.
And the usual flu is far more dangerous when your health is already not that good, so I really wouldn't wait long for the symptoms to get better on their own. Phone the doctor again and ask about thyroid and the reasons he told you to wait.
