Hi velt1983 - your post specifically stuck out to me as I went through most of the same things. I now notice that every time I swallow my ears pop - this cant be normal - right? My ENT (who is supposed to be the best in Chicago) said the cyst is nothing to worry about and said it is unrelated to my vertigo (BPPV) which he performed the excercises on me which relieved the spinning by getting the crystals back in place. I still feel like my head is "full" and when the seasons change my sinuses get worse. I just find it hard to believe that everyone in this forum has the same symptoms but doctors believe that the dizziness and cyst are unrelated.
ive been having some really strange things happening to me like panic attacks dizzieness horrible headaches pain in my left ear weight gain depression and extreme anxiety i had numerous stress tests done on my heart that turned out normal then had a ct done last week and my brain is fine but they discovered a cyst in my sinus so after reading all of your posts im beginning to think it may be from the cyst, the drs treat me like im a nut but dont wanna help me i dont know what to do.
i also forgot to mention strange swelling sometimes i swell all over but twice ive been swollen only on my right side and the dr's have no idea wh and wont do anything to find out. im losing my faith in all dr's . i would your input if u have any idea whats going on with me
I notice all the posts seem to refer to cysts in their left sinus. I also have one in my left sinus. However, I have pain in the right side of my face and my right eye bothers me all the time. My ent says forget the cyst since it's on the left, it couldn't account for the pain on the right side. Does any of you with a left cyst have symptoms on the right side?
Thanks.
Thanks.
for the past 7 months ive been having numbness in left side of my face straight down to my left arm, my left eye drops a little, heart pelvitates, alway tired, and depressed. i also get light pressure in my right temple some times and last for seconds. went to docters and was told it was my iron then my birth control, then they told me i was just panicing. i finally got a MRI and it showed i have a cyst in the upper right sinus. I think alot of it was my birthcontrol because symptoms arnt as bad. im just relieved that some one else has imilar syptoms to me, just wish omeone can diagnos me soon
This is really weird I am having the exact same sympthoms since August 2010. Vertogo, dizzy, loss of balance, headaches, lightheadeness, confusion, and they said I have right inner ear permanent damageand a cyst in my left sinus. the doctor says he doesn't remove them that alot of people have them. I want someone to fix me I was hoping if they took it out I would be better. I've been going back and forth to the Doctor and I want someone to fix me but its not happening. I though they would remove the cysts and I might be better.
I was also prespribed Antivert too, but didn't help. The first couple of months I also have developed some depression and anxiety. I'm not depressed or have anxiety anymore.
Did anyone have the surgery if so did it help. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would greatly appreciate it.

I had sinus surgery in late 2009. At that time they drained sinus cysts on both sides. To remove/drain the cysts the went in though my mouth along the outside gum line. A very small cut was made and they went up under my cheek bone. While it was wonderful to have a release in the pressure my teeth on both sides felt "numb" for about 6 months. It's been 18 months since surgery and I am 100% certain one cyst is back and worse then before. I can't get into the ENT for another 6 weeks. Even with the numb feeling after the cyst removal I will do it again if possible just to avoid the horrible pressure in my face from the cyst.
I am so glad this site is here. I have had trouble with balance, vertigo, allergies, and headaches since 1989. Of course these symptoms have been on and off. Recently, I have had depression, fatigue and severe headaches more than ever as well as a sinus infection that would not go away. I have never been told I had these cyst or polyps before but had a CT Scan of Sinuses 2 weeks ago and there they are. Going to ENT in 2 days. Hope to have relief finally from all this. Glad to know I was not going insane and others are suffering as well. Thanks, Anita
Hi, I'm so glad i found this forum, as I am having all the same symptoms with everyone here. This has been going on for a year now. It started with an infected tooth on the left side of my face. It had a root canal 11 years ago and had split up the middle and last year in April I was in so much pain and had it removed. A month later all the pain was still there. I had been in and out of the er and back to my dentist on so many antibiotics. Finally in October I had a ct scan and was referred to an oral surgeon. The left side of my face this whole time and still is swollen and in pain. In November the oral surgeon removed the rest of my top teeth and a bone on the left side under where the tooth was I had removed in april. Come December I was still sick, massive pain in the left side of my head, swollen around my eye, extreme pain and swelling still on the left side of my face where the tooth was. I went to an ent yet again who sent me for an xray.
My left side of my face feels like a rubber band in it. The pressure around my eye and forhead its unreal. My ears crack when i move my jaw. My left arm goes numb right down to my index finger and theres days I can't get out of bed at all. Right above where the tooth was in the left hand side is still swollen and hard. its like my sinuses aren't draining right and it feels so dry in my nose. The only time nose will run is when i use my netipot. Should i go back to my ent and demand he goes in there and does anyone know can they do and ultrasound on that area of the face to show anything? Anyone know anything good to relieve the pain and swelling?
Thanks

use the Otovent for ear fullness
I had a fullness feeling in my right ear for years a and sharp, shooting pain whenever it got cold. No one could ever explain that to me. No doctor or physical therapist. I ordered an Otovent from Europe and used it for a couple of weeks and it finally opened up my ear like never before. It is completely safe and gentle. I haven't tried recently to find it at a local drugstore, but my ENT, I was in to see him the other day and mentioned to him that I was using one and I thought he would yell at me, and he thought they were the greatest as well. He is having cases of them ordered for his office to hand out to his patients. So... he gave me another one to use when I need to. Yeah! Of course, it does depend on the reason for the fullness in your ear. It worked for mine, hopefully it will work for yours.
Well, I've had three nasal fluild cyst removed and I'm afraid I have another. It usually takes about 3-5 years for it to return. Its caused me to be a little dizzy at times but not bad. My cheek feels heavy full feeling. I get sinus infections easily because my ears and sinuses don't drain well with the large cyst. I've always had mine removed threw my nose, outpatient/same day surgery. Its not bad, you just can't bend over for a day or two or your nose will bleed. No heavy lifting for a week maybe.
I was diagnosed with multiple polyps in the sinus cavity a few years ago. I was 16, and underwent surgery to have them removed. Recovery was pretty painful..fairly uncomfortable, but the surgery itself wasn't so bad. I started having many of the symptoms users here are citing, including dizziness, fatigue...especially muscle fatigue, chronic sinus trouble, worsening asthma, headaches, and blurred vision. My doctor thought it was all connected to migraines, and off to a neurologist I went. I was scheduled for an MRI where cysts in the sinus cavity were found. I said after having the polyps removed a few years ago I would never have the surgery again if I could avoid it- I haven't been back to the neurologist or an ENT to discuss my options or get any more details about the results of the MRI (The mri was just a week ago).. Although before I didn't have as many irritating symptoms. I'm interested in hearing how everything works out for everyone
Been through all that you have and just found out from the allergist that I have a sinus cyst , but I have had nine sinus infections in 18 months. The treatment is antibiotics and steroid sprays, if that doesn't work then surgery which is minor, is done on out patient basis. Good luck if you have allergies then please call an allergist, there is hope.
