Hello, 12-18-17
I just had an MRI that discovered a 2.4cm cyst in my left maxillary sinus. For six weeks now I've had dizziness, brain fog, tinnitus and fatigue. It all began with one massive vertigo attack that sent me to the ER. I've got more testing (VNG test) next week to determine if, and what sort, of inner ear problem I might have. Ironically, my ENT doctor is certain the cyst has nothing to do with my symptoms. I had to talk him into trying a course of antibiotics to treat what I think is a sinus infection. It's so frustrating that doctors don't seem to make any connection between these nasal cysts and symptoms of dizziness, tinnitus, etc.

If I'm not mistaken my cyst is on the left yet I have a lot of issues with the right side of my face. I plan to go to the doctor again and have them do another CT on my head to see if that's what it is. A balloon dilation is what my wife is having after 6 months of chronic sinusitus, 6 rounds of antibiotics, steroids, ct scans. The last one showed the cyst, or polyp. The first CT was probably blocking cyst from all the filled sinus left side only. Good luck.

I have a 3.5x35x6mm polyp on left maxillary sinus so I have done tons of research and trying to take care of it holistically and with the least invasive process. Steroids made me so sick, as the immune system is already working overtime to reduce infection of the sinus, and steroids slow immunity. Don't do steroids. It has been there for at least 2 years, and my face has been swollen, eyes red, headaches, weight gain that is not normal for me. Found the cyst accidentally when I got my own CAT scan for something else. Anyway, look up nasal polyp removal, diy on youtube. I found many videos from people who cured themselves. They tend to come back, so the vacuum method is best; please look that up because it is painless and the others tend to be painful. I am using herbal mixtures added to a nasal wash called ALKALOL that I got at CVS. Today I got a bunch out so I think it is breaking up. This can cause weight gain and changes in your facial features, which both lead to depression and isolating, in my case. Hope this helps! Dr. C

Hi Dr. C,

I am also suffering from the same symptoms as everyone else on this forum, and so far your post has been the most helpful. I do not want to get surgery for this polyp of mine, and I'm far more interested in trying to get rid of it holistically. I wanted to ask, which herbal mixtures have you added to ALKALOL? Do you have any specific YouTube videos to recommend? The vacuum method that you suggested...is that referring to the polypectomy surgery or is it something else (that I have not been able to find)? How has the removal process come along since 12 days ago?

Please let me know if you see this comment. Thanks!

Siamesmom,
Any updates post surgery? I have almost the same symptoms as many others have listed above. Dizziness, vertigo, severe headaches centered around my face. Now becoming depressed as well. This is horrible. I have an appointment with an ENT as the emergency room diagnosed severe sinusitis with sinus cysts.

Pressure in BOTH ears as well. The vertigo sent me to the ER where a head MIR uncovered Sinus cysts. Anyone have luck with the cyst removal surgery? That's what I am going to insist on.

Hi, I just visited an ENT. I have all the same symptom's as you have. The CT scan shows that I have Sinus Cyst and a small amount of inflammation. The ENT said that the Cyst is not big enough or in the right area to be causing all of my pain and said he would not recommend surgery. I have other odd symptom's that you did not mention like my ear's draining, post nasal drip that causes what they call cobblestone throat. The ENT said he is pretty sure that The problems are from allergies. He recommended trying mucinex, flonase or claritin or anything els of that sort. So far all of these make me dizzy so still searching for something that might help. He also said if these dont work the symptom's might be from migraine's.
