Basically it's inhaled essential oils of Cinnamon Leaf, Clove Buds, & Thyme. They are natural anticeptics that will act directly on your sinuses when inhaled. (follow the directions)
In the same spirit of this product I will often inhale eucalyptis oil in the same way. This stuff will help you most of the time.
This is a horrible disease to deal with. In a word it is depressing. One day your happy (I'm lucky enough to have good days), then for weeks you are a walking zombie.)
Try that product though, you've got nothing to lose.

I had the same problem for years, I still get the sinus infections once and a while but not as bad. The doctors didn't do anything for me. But I have found that using a netti pot to clear the sinuses has help greatly. I've been able to sleep 8-9 hours in a row. Which is a record for me. But my eyes still are puffy when I wake up, so I apply an ice pack on them for a few minutes in the morning, then I use the netti pot and I'm all set for the day.

I am so frutrated. I feel like I am sick more than I am healthy lately. I constantly go to the doctor and the response is always "sinusitis again." I get antibiotics but then it comes right back. Many people suspect allergies, but allergy meds doesn't seem to have an impact.
When I wake up, I don't want to get up. I feel tired as soon as my eyes open because they are puffy, itch and feel thick and swollen. My teeth/jaws are sore, I am constantly pushing my hands on my cheek bones (just to the left/right of my nose), putting pressure on the ridge of my nose and just above my nose on my forehead. I feel out of it and spacey. I am irritable. All I can think about is when I get to lay down again. When I rest, I still wake up tired. I can't sleep longer than four hours a night unless I have sleep medication which only allows a 7 hour nights rest at most.
All of this is bringing me down and depressing me so badly. I am usually a very upbeat, happy energetic person, but not in the last three months. I can't seem to shake it. My irritability is at an all time high. I really need help with this.
Does ANYONE have advice or some sort of knowledge as to what this is? I keep going to the doctor and hearing the same thing over and over but nothing is improving.
I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks so much!!

I realize you posted this a few years ago, but it's happening to me right now! Sinus pressure, irritated/swollen/puffy eye (only my right eye thus far), fatigue, irritability, DEPRESSION!
I am totally frustrated! I feel tired as soon as my eyes open because the right one is puffy, itchy and feels thick and swollen. My teeth/jaws are sore, I am constantly pushing my hands on my cheek bones (just to the left/right of my nose), putting pressure on the ridge of my nose and just above my nose on my forehead. I
feel out of it and spacey. I am irritable. When I rest, I still wake up tired. I can't sleep longer than four hours a night unless I have sleep medication which only allows a 7 hour nights rest at most (and it NEVER does).
All of this is depressing me so badly. I am usually a very upbeat, happy energetic person, but not lately! I can't seem to shake it. My irritability is at an all time high. I really need help with this.
Molly - did you ever find out what was causing this? I'm freaking out! I can barely see out of my right eye!
Does ANYONE have advice or some sort of knowledge as to what this is?
I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks so much!!

What worked for me was pineapple, but I had to have almost 30 years of bad health to discover this. I'm not sure that pineapple is the thing for everyone, but for me it is a lifesaver. I know this is going to sound weird, but it really happened exactly as I tell it.
One day I was at home and I fell into a sleep state that wasn't really quite like a sleep state. I found out later it is what is called a hypnogogic trance and I saw this image of a pineapple and a voice inside me said that my sinusitis and my heart racing (at the time I was having problems with my heart racing too) were caused by undigested proteins in my sinuses and in my heart and that if I ate a little bit of pineapple every day the problems would resolve themselves.
Then I saw what looked like about a half inch slice of pineapple. I came out of this trance baffled. I knew about the enzyme that dissolves proteins--remembering that pineapple prevents jello from setting because an enzyme in it dissolves proteins--though at the time I couldn't remember the name of the enzyme.
I had never heard that undigested proteins were the cause of sinusitis. In fact I had a whole book on sinusitis written by a Colorado doctor that recommends a very intensive and expensive vitamin regimin for sinusitis, which I never tried because it would have required that I had the income of a Rockefeller. So I got up from my bed turned on my computer, looked up pineapple and sinusitis and voila! there it was on the web, as if my mind was a magic hat and the pineapple was the magician's rabbit.
Pineapple as a treatment for sinusitis. It led me into a month-long study of enzymes and my plan is eventually to be a nutritionist who specializes in enzyme therapies. Because I feel that enzymes have a lot to offer and we live in an enzyme-deficient culture. More about that later.
I had a lot to learn about the bromelain in pineapple. But there is some background to all this. Sometimes it takes special circumstances to have this kind of insight. My special insight came through years of chronic health problems brought on by antibiotics.
Sinusitis is an inflammation. Inflammations are often characterized by that ending: -itis. Hence, arthritis, bursitis, bronchitis all generally refer to an inflammatory response. But sometimes--as many of us know--it can refer to an actual infection. For instance, cystitis which we all know as a bladder infection. I once got into an argument with a woman who insisted that the ending itis means infection. It can. But it can also mean inflammation without an infection present. However, it is rare to have an infection without inflammation.
So first thing. Always inflammation. There may be an underlying infection. Keep this in mind before you run off to your doctor looking for antibiotics, because they can actually make it worse.
If you look at cystitis, it is often caused by bacteria that get into the otherwise sterile urine inside the urethra from outside (yes urine is generally bacteria free until it emerges and makes contact with bacteria in our environment) and irritate the urethra. The urethra responds by becoming inflamed and the other response is urgency to pee, a protective mechanism to expel the bacteria by getting rid of them often.
So people get confused when they hear words that end in itis and they think they have an infection and must take antibiotics if they have something like bronchitis or cystitis. I learned the hard way years ago--that antibiotics can often cause the problems they are meant to resolve.
I started getting cystitis in my early 20s, was prescribed antibiotics. Then I started having chronic bronchitis almost immediately after this and this went on into my 30s and the doctors would prescribe more antibiotics. Eventually I found homeopathy and that got me off the bronchitis merry-go-round.
About this time I met a nurse socially who mentioned she had seen this many times with bronchitis. Someone gets something like cystitis, the doctors prescribe antibiotics and then the patient comes back in a while with what she called "chemical bronchitis". I asked her to explain. She said that it was an inflammation that was brought on by chemical exposure--in my case antibiotics--and not a bacteria or virus.
I was amazed because I had always thought I had some kind of infection and that's why they prescribed. "No," she said, "that's usually not the case at all. She told me the doctors would often prescribe just to be on the safe side because they didn't have the time or the patient didn't have the resources for return visits and they didn't want the patient to potentially sue them down the road because the doctor hadn't done something.
And I recalled how often my doctors would write out a prescription without actually having had done any lab tests to see if I had a bacterial or viral infection (by the way antibiotics cannot treat viral infections). I had just assumed that they could tell by the symptoms that I had some kind of infection.
I had relative good health after the homeopathic cure, but then about three years later I had an ovarian cyst which was misdiagnosed as some kind of pelvic infection which the doctor prescribed antibiotics for after giving me a very scary picture of what he thought was wrong with me. So like a good little foolish soldier going off to battle I took my antibiotics without waiting for the lab results to come back--going on his recommendation that I not wait at all.
A month later I began to show the very first beginnings of a skin condition which would blossom in time into a raging angry condition which made me look like some kind of space alien petri dish experiment. At the worse time I had rings all over my body that looked like ringworm in a way. They were depressed and yellowish at the center. I didn't have this on my face and hands so I could work. No one knew that under my clothes I looked ghastly. Years later I saw a man with this same condition and I regret that I did not approach him and tell him what he had.
This took two years to diagnose. No one knew what it was--not even the dermatologist I went to--though he did mention tinnea, but didn't have any solutions. As I had not been to anyplace where I could get tinnea I was a bit baffled. My regular doctor said it was stress.
The medical profession should have a condition called ridiculitis, which is what something doctors suffer from when they tell you what ails you. (it means worthy of ridicule.)
I was in constant pain from these circular patches all over my body that itched so badly I contemplated suicide every day for over six months to a year. I became a workaholic just to take my mind off the pain. The closest thing I can compare it to is like having poison oak on about eighty percent of my body every single day for years. Eventually I made the connection to the antibiotics I had taken and it was my acupuncturist who finally realized it was a yeast infection of my skin with possible fungal infection because of the tinnea, which is another opportunistic kind of fungus in our bodies.
This time I didn't consult a doctor. As far as I was concerned I was done with doctors. Because I saw the connection between their COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE PRESCRIBING and my loss of health. If you need the medical charts here they are:
cystitis->antibiotics->bronchitis.
ovarian cyst->antibiotics->severe candida overgrowth.
This will relate to the sinusitis, just bear with me. My acupuncturist put me on a very strict candida diet and antifungal herbs. It was so strict in fact that I doubt many could do it. But I was motivated because I was in such severe pain and I wanted so badly to get better.
It took about three years and though I was not completely done with candida I saw progress right away after the first two weeks. Something like a 80% reduction in symptoms within several weeks. But I still had an overgrowth in my body and I knew it. The pain was going away, but I had brain fog and some fatigue and problems with my sinuses. But I ignored the sinus problem because the skin problem was still worse.
I was after three years for all intents and purposes cured of the original skin symptoms: itchy painful skin. But I was not well and I didn't understand why. My diet was now what would be called phenomenal. Lots of fresh veges, meat, low carbs, no sugar etc.
Eventually I visited another homeopath for the remaining health problems and she gave me a remedy and the next morning--okay this is going to be gross--in the toilet there was a long candida growth about three to four feet long with its sprue where it had attached inside me. It reminded me of kelp the way it looked--only it was actually a lovely color of white--the color of milk. It looked like it as made of some kind of gossamer like substance. Kind of angelic lying there and it was so hard to believe that something so pretty could cause so much suffering.
I really had no idea how large one of these candida colonies could could get. I had imagined something on a much smaller scale. And then I started thinking that when this condition was much worse, more than likely when I was really suffering from the severe candida, I probably had more than 80 feet of candida in my system. I really began to see how we are not just human beings, but we are collections of invaders as well, albeit invaders we have lived with for millions of years. A precarious balance fo fungi, yeast and bacteria, which antibiotics disrupt so dramatically.
I felt a lot better after that, though I still had some residual symptoms. About the same time is when I had the image of the pineapple. I was eating fruit by now, but I was a bit wary of pineapple because it is sweet and I thought it would bring back the candida. But trusting my intuition I tried it and the sinus problems cleared up within that day. I was floored.
I wanted to know more as to why pineapple would work so well and so quickly. So back to bromelain. It does break down proteins, and it is a treatment for sinusitis as I found out in my trance and confirmed on the web. But it does more in its role as an anti-inflammatory. In fact, I found out that trainers often give their athletes bromelain after an injury to reduce inflammation and thus speed healing. I wanted to know more about other enzymes so I started reading about protease, lipase, etc and learned that:
1) when you cook, freeze, microwave and process food you destroy enzymes.
2) enzymes are necessary for thousands of processes in the body
3) the help us produce energy and they help break down foreign bodies so that our bodies can dispose of them.
I can really see that we are an enzyme deficient society. That's a no brainer. But that last item interested me. I started thinking about the sinusitis. Maybe the pineapple was doing more than just reducing inflammation. Maybe it was breaking down foreign proteins. Maybe I had candida in my sinuses and the bromelain was breaking it up so it could be handled and carried away. No ability to acquire a lab and research this, but if I knew someone who had a lab I would say "Enzymes" just as the future father-in-law told Dustin Hoffman in the Graduate "Plastics".
I started googling candida and sinusitis and I found a lot there and more that completely confirmed what I had thought. Candida I knew could go anywhere in the body. I had read this already and had seen pictured of the web of candida colonies in an esophagus and had been in chat rooms where people described colonies.
I knew that candida has a little more difficulty getting into the brain, but it can. I met a woman in my search for my candida cure, whose brother's mental illness was caused by candida and completely cured by an antiyeast diet so that he could be released from the psychiatric hospital he had been forced into when he completely lost it. His mental illness had all began when he began to neglect his health and started living on a diet of cookies and then had become psychotic. Fortunately for him he had a family who put 2 and 2 together and worked with the hospital on the diet that was to cure him. It makes one wonder about Howard Hughes and his chocolate chip cookie diet. Had he been surrounded by people who cared about him instead of those who were after his money, it might have had a different outcome. Instead, those that took care of him gave him drugs and more drugs.
If candida could get across the barrier of the brain it could certainly get into my sinuses and wreak havoc. I then found a site that had images of polyps taken out of people that when they were cut open at the center was mold or candida. It was interesting. I mean it doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to see what has happened. The mold or candida sets up shop and the body isolates it by creating a growth around it.
I am convinced that antibiotics have been a major player in all this. If you look at the overuse of them, it really began in the 1970s. After this you see a surge in sinusitis, not to mention chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and other mysterious illnesses that often have overlapping symptoms: fatigue, inflammation, headaches etc. You have to wonder.
Time for my pineapple.

fatigue - very tough to wake up in the morning, no energy throughout the day and i have circles under my eyes
sinus pain - but no yellow/green discharge
light headed - feel spacey, head in the clouds
eyes feel puffy and sensitive to light. blank stares, etc.
i'm on week 3 and symptoms are not getting better. i will have days where i feel almost normal and then i'll relapse.
i finally went to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed two nasal sprays and told me to come back in two weeks if i don't get better but it sounds like people on here have been dealing with symptoms for months, if not years.
any other solutions? sounds like netti pot has worked from some so i'll try that next.
thanks!

I am taking serrapeptase, I have CFS, hypothyroidism, high inflammatory blood test markers and serrapeptase has been prescribed in Germany for over 20 years. It 'eats' and disperses dead tissue and cleans up the blood and arteries, has loads of positive effects on many diseases according to literature. I am hoping it will work. It is another enzyme supposedly even better than the bromelain from pineapples. Put that together with the bromelain and you have a great cure for sinusitis apparently and other inflammatory diseases. Hypothyroid people are always full of inflammation anyway.
I would seriously recommend people google serrapeptase, especially if you suffer from any inflammation or sinus infections, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, arthritis :-)
Good luck
