From the sounds of your desperate email, it could be me writing it from my computer. I have an idea what we both have and that is TMJ...I had a terrible fall a few months ago, and ever since then, my facial muscles are hurting, my teeth hurt, all I want to do is sleep, and when I awaken from what I thought was a good sleep, I am irritable and what I call lopsided again, just wanting to go back under my covers and forget that I exist. I also have a fast heartbeat...doctors did all the tests in the book and said I have a healthy heart...for that I am very grateful....however.....
I suffer from depression and panic attacks, and I honestly believe that it is TMJ, the temperalmendibular joint in your jaw...please research it, and then go to your dentist as fast as you can get there and tell him/her your complaint. It will ruin your life if you neglect it.
That is exactly what I am going to do as soon as I can. Good luck in finding out what most doctors won't tell you or don't really know. God bless,
Carole

Hi Molly,
I totally understand what you are going through. I have experienced very much of the same ailments as you. Number one I think there is a direct correlation between all of the above. When you are feeling very fatigued it is frusterating and can cause irratability. I notice that when I am overtired or have had a sleepless night I will feel depressed the next day. Sleep is essential for the body and is the time in which it repairs itself.
The TMJ can be exacerbated by your irratability. When ppl are stressed then tend to grind their teeth. Def go to your dentist, they can provide you with a night guard to use at night and protect your teeth!!
As far as your sinuses go, I'm sure they are extremely dry. It is essential to keep your sinuses moist, because it will help prevent bacteria or allergens from lingering in your nasal cavity. Dark circles, swollen, puffy eyes can be a result of allergies and sinus problems, so they are most likely secondary to the problem. You also have to look at your diet. Do you consume large quantities of dairy? If you do, stop! Dairy causes and overproduction of mucous and is also conducive to sinus infections. Think extra mucous causes sinuses to clog, when they clog, they cannot drain and in turn nasal membranes swell/inflame causing infection. Also very important is to be sure you are taking acidopholous regularly when on the antibiotics. An overgrowth of yeast in the sinuses is also possible. It is very cyclical. If you have yeast, you are likely to infect, when given antibiotics they will kill off good bacteria creating more yeast.
What I would suggest is cleaning up your diet. Lots of greens, water, again avoiding the dairy(make sure to supplement with calcium/vit d pills), taking acidopholous, limiting the sugar intake. Eliminate as much stress from your life as poss, make sure to have a healthy outlet ie excercise, hot bath, reading etc. I would also recomended nasal irrigation with a neti pot, using warm distilled or previously boiled water. Steaming can also be very helpful to moisturize the nasal passage ways.
As far as sleeplessness goes, homeopathic supplements can be very helpful. The vitamin shoppe and GNC usually both carry them, just ask a sales associate to help direct you to the section.
Good Luck, I know what it's like!!
