I started dipping when I was 17 and within a month I could not live without my lip packed any more.
Now 20 years later and numerous attempts to quit later. I have two sons who unfortunately also started dipping. Both 17 year old Jared and 16 year old Billy Ray are as addicted to it as I am.

At 16 I broke up with my girlfriend, actually she dumped me. A couple of friends of mine already dipped and one of them gave me his can and told me it would make me feel better, now 5 years later I wish I had never packed that first lip as I can't live without my Copenhagen any more.
Here in Louisiana the kids have older friends and they'll buy the dip for them since it's only a couple of dollars and some of their parents will buy it too cause the kids convince them that it isn't tobacco but I buy it from friends or I used to but that's what they do
Its easy to quit well for me it is cause Il dip everyday until I have football practice then I'll quit for a while 8 months to be exact and pack one every couple months
I guess by now you have a son who openly dips.
My 16 year old, Daniel, also started dipping recently and I hate it, but his father, my ex, also dips and doesn't see anything wrong with Daniel doing it. He is growing up and you just have to get used to him getting bad habits he told me.
