Our family was very poor when i was growing up i am the youngest of 5 boys and i always got clothes handed down. from as young as i can remember all us boys wore swim trunks as underwear. which was good because it meant we could go swimming a lot. we live near a beach...
it was only when i got to 16 i asked mum why it was we wore our trunks all the time. she said when we were all very young a neighbour told her that her sons did the same, she pointed out to mum that trunks are multipurpose... you can swim in them use them as underwear and sleep in them. so it saved mum buying 3 lots of clothes for us all. i can never remember peeing the bed, i know i did have an odd embarrasing daytime pee accident but who did not?.
i now have 2 sons 3 and 5 and naturally both have carried on the tradition the oldest was dry by the time he was 30 months and the younger was dry a month sooner. we buy them branded swimwear so they do tend to last well and to be honest dont cost much more than a good pair of underwear, both boys like that they can just strip to their trunks and swim whenever they get the chance.

I call BS on this, puberty at 11....and knows that a lot of his friends were speedos etc, kids at that age are weirded out by such talk
This myth has been recently proven to be just that... a myth
There is no evidence at all in any form to support it.
Its obvious that the boxer manufacturers were having a hard time selling due to the decline from boxers to briefs in my day, when I used to shop for my own clothes back in the day I didn't see a single boxer pair on the shelves vs today.
Guys must wear what they want to and stop listening to girls who don't like them cos I can assure you the majority of woman love it -

I dont really know what the whole fuss is about, the myth has been disproved so many times about tight underwear reducing male fertility.
i have worn swimsuit to sleep in form a very young age, swim shorts with the mesh liner to start with from when i was about 5 i think. then when i got to 14 or 15 i met a girl who was and still is turned on by a man in speedos, so made the change from the swim shorts to speedos for sleeping. she wears a bikini to sleep in we have had 5 kids 2 girls and 3 boys all 5 have followed what we do with no problems.
i say if you are comfortable in a swimsuit inbed.... then go for it...

I did wear swimshorts to bed in the past when i was possibly 6 or 7 an odd time when mother did not notice. then i sort of went of swimming in my teens so swimwear did not form part of my wardrobe for a while but at 16 i got friendly with a girl in my year, other boys sort of avoided her as she was quite flat chested and did nothing else but swim. i had a sleepover at her house and saw she slept inher swimsuit. talking with her she said it felt so good and i should try it. so after much deliberating and she bought me some nylon aussibum speedos, she was right it does feel great. i started swimming more lost 30kg in weight and now we are married with twin boys of 3.
I'm too nervous to wear a speedo even though I want to. I'm a 20 year old guy and I have a larger penis, plus if I get an erection, I don't know how I could even hide it. I'd also have to shave because I have a lot of pubic hair and a lot of butt hair.
I thought that was the point of wearing speedos, having a nearly constant erection that shows through so the girls can see the outline of your penis and glans without really being naked.
I'm too modest then I guess. Plus, I really don't want to shave my pubes.
i do to i sleep in my wife s swimsuit
I am from spain and we live in a small fishing cottage by the beach., i dont know if it is just with us not having much money but we get bought a new pair of beach / swimshorts every year and we wear them all the time, we swim until quite late in the evening most nights then sometimes fall asleep on the balcony, the following morning we wake up in bed still in our swimshorts.
this has been the case for as long as i can remember i will be 14 in a months time and my 4 brothers (all younger) and my 2 sisters all do the same. as far as i can see there is no problem sleeping in a swimsuit, even our mother does. i am hoping to get some speedos for my birthday, most of my friends have them and they like them and you also get a better tan with speedos.

That is why I wear a women's ope piece swimsuit. I do not have to worry about popping out the top of my speedo. I really like the feel of the tight fabric compressing my body.
I wear the speedo aqublade racerback suit. I sleep in it and wear it to the pool when at hotels. When I get a hard on I don't care. In fact I have met several girls because of the suit and what they can see.

A couple of nights ago my 9 year old daughter was having a bad dream and i went in to her room to see if she was OK and saw she was wearing her school one piece swimsuit, she was not awake so i settled her down and went back to bed. in the morning i questioned her about it. she said she liked the way it felt and she had been wearing it to sleep in for a long time. she also confessed to wearing it most days under her school uniform during hot weather so she can take off her uniform and put her sports shorts on to walk home. not sure i agree with it but if it makes her happy i cannot see that she has had any health issues so see no sense in stopping her.
To the guest poster above.
i had a similar find with my son a few years ago on holiday in the canaries. he(7) and his older brother(13) shared a room and we were in the room next door. the youngest was never good at getting up. so after a late night i had to wake him and rolled him out of bed, only to find he had been sleeping in his speedos. initially we were shocked but then found the oldest also did the same. and had done for a number of years.
basically if they are happy with it don't worry
