Slight fever every evening

Try taking an aspirin before that time of day. It often works if the problem is blood pressure related or stills disease. This is the simplest thing you can do on your own to try and diagnose the cause. If that doesn't work, try drinking a glass of cranberry juice 1/2 hour before that time of day. This will usually help if the problem is dehydration, a UTI, or even some kidney problems, but takes a week or so before you start to see any benefits. Poor dental conditions can cause these symptoms, too - as you eat, you also swallow bacteria until your body has to fight it with fever. If the fever is worse after a stressful day, or during periods of increased stress, ask your doctor to give you something for hypertension. Other causes for a persistent / intermittent low grade fever are TB, autoimmune disorders, and of course infection, but your doctor should have checked for these things. Take careful note of other symptoms you may have but may have paid attention to, like abnormal urine or stools, thirst, hunger, weight loss, confusion, disorientation, joint pain or stiffness, dry mouth, and especially rashes. These could all help diagnose the problem.

I've had the same thing on and off for years. It's Epstien Barr. Every time I get run down, too stressed or a virus, it happens. Can last days or weeks, also can come with headache, sore throat and exhaustion.

I get the same thing, but I really don't start feeling the fever until a bit closer to 6:30/7:00pm.  It's been exactly one week now so I started getting worried.  I'm glad to see I'm not alone, but a bit disappointed to see that no doctors have posted in response during the past 4 years.  

I was having the exact same problem with the evening fevers, feeling tired and achy as if I'm about to get the flu. A culture from my nose revealed I have a Staph infection.I'd recommend everyone gets tested for that. 

Needs some advise please....since January 2011 I've been feeling this slight flew symptom I saw my doctor he gave me a physical lab works everything looks good. March I was diagnose with chronic sinus infection my ENT told me I needed surgery to remove polyps and infection, that surgery was done April 21st...that slight flew feeling went away for a few weeks while I was taking medication...not for so long that mild flew feeling is back, my ENT told me it wasn't my sinuses. Since the surgery there a sensitive area right on top of my head, it doesn't hurt only if I tap on it... I was expose to mold a few years back we had water issue leaking in the house that fix now....need some help...

Sir,I am having the same symptoms. Since January 2010, a mild flew, I feel weak, body aches and now it seems to bother me as I take a deep breath I could feel a slight pain in my chest. I had chronic sinus infection and was told by my doctor I need surgery, which I did in April. With the medication I took that mild flew symptom went away only for one month and I'm struggling with it since. Before all this I was very active person I will get up and run an army 2 mile run and pass now I couldn't keep up...don't know what going. One thing you did mention was a sensitive spot, I find this interested I have a tender spot right on top my head. I don't know ur current status please let me know if you got better

Hi I have a 7 year old girl that has the same symptoms.Cough. High fever 103.6-104.7 every night. Head hurts her. Took her  twice  to the Dr. they say no flew like symptoms not sure what it is... hey i m 25 n i do face the same problem every evening i get fever n i get scared while going out or travelling any where without my family bcoz of this issue n no medication works i consulted doctors for this n ol they had to say was dat it was viral or dey don get wat it is i got blood tests n urine tests done but no result. plz if any one cums across the reason do lemme knw.

I am 49 years old and I have been experiencing a low grade fever in the evening on and off for the last 10-15 years.  Never really worried about it and it hasn't killed me yet.  I would like to know what's causing it, but after reading all the post, I see that it could take some extensive (and costly) testing that may or may not reveal the cause.  I do have a ruptured L5-S1 disc that has caused lots of pain during this time period so I attributed the fever to that.  (Insurance won't pay for surgery).  I didn't know if this was a common problem, but, it does seem to be pretty common.  Good luck to everyone.  Whenever anyone finds a cause (and possible cure), please post!

I am not confirm about this fever type but these symptoms are like malaria, kala-azar, pyaemia, or septicemia fever. You should consult with a doctor.

Hey! What u all feel is what I feel too. I don't know what to do b'coz I don't know if its really a virus. My parents doesn't know about this b'coz I don't want them to worry. I'm 16 y.o. and it really bothers me alot having this disease. So far, I feel that it became worser. I have a fever for almost 2 days. My parents think its a normal fever. What am I going to do? Doctors! Please help me!

You should get tested for Epstein Barr and MGUS both can cause these symptoms alone or along with other symptoms.

Birds of a feather flock together so i must say im glad to read ths blog. Frm wht i gather v all hav the same pblm tht is slight fever tht comes around sundown, bodypain, weakness n headaches. These symptoms are very close to chickengunya a viral fever but its not that. After doing multiple blood tests n urine tests and taking medication i relaised there is no cure 4 it as its not diagonised yet so v cud jes say its a flu. Medication only helps temporly n shud be taken only if its unberable. My advice doctors cant help you so you help yourself jes get in lot of rest no stress tht kills them bugs. Good health

What I think causes slight fever on evening is nothing but stressespecially if you have a problem with your relationship or someone who is close to you.
