Hi, when I was 12 years old (5 years ago) I had 3 pancreatites in 13 months. My problem was that I had a conduct that was malformed (I don't remember wich one) and my doctor intended to open it, so it could be more easier to my pancreas perform its function. Nevertheless its quite to remark that the doctor said to me that I mustn't drink and smoke and so it has been. So, I need to know what effects could weed cause on me if I smoke it, will cause me problems?

I am pretty sure what the doc was saying about smoking, was smoking ciggs and all, because when you smoke ciggs and have any type of surgical procedure done, the smoking can cause you to heal alot slower and have more post-op complications. I have heard this lecture from all of my surgeons and in fact, when I went to have my gastric bypass surgery, I HAD to quit completely 3 months bfire they would do the surgery!. In a nutshell, smoking affects the healing process! I hope this helps! Good Luck! Opiatefreeme
