ok well my boyfriend and i have been together for 7 months now our sex life s great no problems the only thing is sometimes he gives me tears and splits. The other day we were having really rough sex and he split me bad i had alot of tears so i let it be cause im used to it but then they started getting very painful to a point it burned like crazy everytime i took a shower or peed. i went to the hospital 3 days later cause i thought they might have been infected but all the doctor said was that it was a yeast infection and then he changed his mind and said it was herpes. someone please help they didnt take any blood test or do anything he just looked at it and assumed it was that.

The tears or cuts could be related to irritation from rough sex, but if they are not healing quickly and continue to itch and burn, you might have a yeast infection. Both you and your boyfriend should be treated if that is the case, otherwise the yeast can be transmitted to your boyfriend, and he can give it back to you – he might also develop symptoms of yeast infection himself. A doctor cannot diagnose herpes just by looking at you; a swab or blood test is needed to confirm an STD. I would suggest seeing another doctor if you continue to have symptoms.
