I’ve been felling back pain and stiffness for last couple of months. I went to see a doctor and he sent me to orthopedist. He diagnosed spondylitis, the type of arthritis that affects the spine. He said that it is no cure for spondylitis, but I came on time so the pain can be reduced and it is possible to improve the function of the spine. He told me if I do all that he asks me to I can live like normal person. I would like to here someone he has spondylitis. What to you do?
I was diagnosed with spondylitis two years ago. I started immediately with exercises and therapy. I even changed my bed. I bought a hard mattress, so that my backs are always straight. I threw away all the pillows I had. I do daily exercises which was very helpful in reducing the stiffness. I do also breathing exercises and I started recently with swimming. It sound like a full time job, but it is my health and I have to be disciplined.
