Many many years ago :-) I started taking Duromine and I lost weight and went loopy at the same time. I drove at speed, typed at speed, never slept and heart palpatations all the time. In the end I cracked up and couldn't stop crying. That was the end of Duromine. Yes I lost weight. But after all these years I'm now thinking I wish I had never taken them, never dieted etc. I wasn't that overweight to begin with!!! Now I'm 63, 5.2 (short) and weighing in at 80kg. I can't take being this size so went to see an Endocrinologist believing there was a reason why I can't lose weight. I've tried everything to move it but it wont budge. My blood tests were all good so now he has given me a prescription of 15 mg Duromine. I'm reluctant to take them due to my first experience with them but he says they are different now - not as strong. So here goes... I know in my heart that once you stop taking them the weight comes back on... only 3% of people can maintain there weight after a dieting or pills. So, do I take them to get some months in of feeling and looking better? - Yes I do. Are there any other ladies out there who have had the same journey as me?
