It's very similar to a panic attack but for me it lingers for days at a time. I can usually keep my self occupied by playing games or exercise, yoga is good.
Sometimes I don't feel like I can handle it though and I'll take a valium to help me sleep. However, I try not to take them often as I don't want to get into another bad habit.
I think what's happening is our nervous system is somehow over stimulated and we are getting flooded with stress hormones. Sometimes it feels like I've taken a drug and I'm on a bad trip.
This will go away and you will return to your normal self.
Eat well, exercise, try yoga and meditation (guided meditations worked well for me) try not to get stuck on negative thoughts. Keep valium handy and only use on rare occasions.
Look after yourself!

For me it went away, but you have to not be sacred of the sensation and believe that it does go away. Simple as that. I went to the Doc 1 month after it persisted and he said it's the brain's reaction to a mental shock, aka the Panic Attack, it's in defense mode right now to avoid another emotional or psychological trauma.
So don't fool yourself, you just had a bad trip.
(Go to the doctor and explain everything that happened.)

19 and I'm am going through the same thing as many of you guys. It has been well over a year, I have kept this to myself, and still intend to continue doing that. I feel it has gotten better since then but I've been the same for a long time. Not held back physically or mentally when I attempt to do my normal every day routine, but I still have the feeling we all have. I rarely smoked until last year, I started to occasionally do it and play ball after but the last time I smoked way more then usual and I believe that is the cause of this (for me). Idk if I would call it a panic attack as I have read people say in this forum but the high just hasn't gone away fully it feels like. If you are having the same issue reply and lets see how we can get our sh*t back str8 and get on track. I remember feeling like I was trapped mentally in a cage in a sense if that makes sense and now I feel similar but not as intense. It may slowly be fading or it may be a different issue. If your still in that chat, How have you been since your last update on here?
