I am 22 and I have a small inguinal hernia (right side), which causes me almost no discomfort for the time being. About 4 weeks after discovering this however I have developed symptoms with my stomach. My stomach feels slightly acidy and sometimes gurgles first thing in a morning (or when I haven't eaten), but eating usually resolves this.

In general, I feel healthy. I am fine when sitting upright, standing or walking, but when I lie down at night on my back, I can get stomach cramps and bloating around my naval. I can sometimes feel the bloating as though I have trapped air or something. It may only appear for a few seconds and then reduce. It isn't painful but a strange feeling none the less - like a slight tugging or cramping. Lying on my side helps and releasing wind makes me feel slightly better.

Any ideas what this might be? I'm trying to eat healthily and have enough fibre, etc.
