Hi Everyone,
I have had most of these sensations starting about 3 years ago. At first there was no pain, just weird sensations, flutters, throbbing
sensations, bloating severely. AT first they came and went. then they came and stayed and started feeling like squeezing throbbbing pinching feeling and becoming very painful. This goes on 24 7. I have to take sleeping medication to sleep. I have had cat scans, ab and pelvic ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopsy.
Yesterday I want to a specialist in gynocology/urology. She did a pelvic exam and told me my pelvic floor muscles were in spasm. She is going to send me to get some internal, vaginal trigger point release therapy on me. She is also sending me to have chioropractic work done, as this is starting to spread to my back and chest and thighs. This is called chronic pelvic pain syndrome.

im so glad im not the only one who is experiancing this. I too have had these "spasms" in my tummy area. Its more like in the pelvic area. Mine is below my belly mostly on the center of the stomacha nd left side. I have never been prego b4 so i dont know what prenancy feels like, but i do know that it feels like a "baby kicking". I have taken over 15 pg tests and all have come back negative. All have been diff brands too. From the most expensive to the generic brands. I mostly experiance this after I eat, and lay down on my stomach or sit kinda hunched over with pressure on my stomach. It doesnt hurt me. It just bothersome. I have been experiancing this everyday for months, and somedays i feel it more that others. I too am overweight so im not sure if that plays a factor in all this. I dont eat much greasy foods and such. I know it has nothing to do with gas or anything. I wanna know whats going on??? I dont have regular periods. More like I dont get them at all. Last time I had one was a year ago and thats only bc my ob/gyn gave me these pills to have a period. Not sure if this all plays a part, but Im curious to know whats goin on in my body. If im not pregnant than whats going on???

I'm Male, have had this "fake baby" for 6 years. It's not a parasite as your stool would turn black, induce vomiting, blood would be involved and pain. Its a chemical imbalance in the stomach that can be caused by bacteria, infection (It gets worse for me when I'm sick), heart burn, nervous disorder, gas, diet, dehydration, depression, anxiety and allergies. Different influences cause different symptoms but in general it is your stomach telling you "Hey something in here ain't how I like it."

I know it feels like a worm is rolling around in there but if there was a worm you would constantly be hungry, experience bloating and gain weight. I've looked at a lot of different human parasites. When you become stressed or experience a lack of a certain chemical (alcohol, caffeine, energy drinks, things of that nature) your stomach is going to talk to you.

I've had a full treatment of anti-biotics, endoscopy, regularly documented occurrences (it gets significantly worse in the spring). I've also had Ulcers and a plethera of other stomach based suck-ness (which I assure you is not related to the ghost baby syndrome).

I suffer from gas... something or other... which means I have an abnormal amount of acid in my stomach and experience acid reflux often (with mild damage to my esophagus which gives me foreign body syndrome in my throat). It also makes me burpy when I eat certain foods. I also suffer from a mild lactose intolerance.

So why do some things make it worse?

Alcohol - dehydrates you (more gas or acid in stomach, it gets pissed off)
Hot foods- Increase in acid and gas in stomach (it gets pissed off)
Not eating- Only acid in stomach, nothing to digest + extra gas (it gets pissed off)
Energy Drinks- Caffeine and large amounts of sugar mess with your system (more acid and gas, it gets pissed off)
Sleeping- You are lying down, certain areas of your stomach are going to be exposed to things they are not used to like acid and gas. Also your digestive system has more trouble when you lie down (it gets pissed off, try sleeping with your bed at an angel or with your torso at a 30 degree angel, I guarantee it will help)
Eating- Oh man who would think this has an effect on your stomachs digestive process? Dont eat late at night
Coffee / 5 hour Energy - (makes your stomach digest stuff differently producing, yep you guessed it, more acid and gas)
Allergies- lets face it Allergies just messes with everything in your body, especially if you eat something you are allergic to... (it gets pissed off)
Nervous disorders like Restless leg syndrome- lets face it you are prone to spasm, its normal for your body to spasm sometimes.
Physical Exertion- stresses your body out, causing muscle spasms and other internal effects.

These are just a few. So far in my 6 years I've learned to just deal with it, doctors are too expensive to constantly tell you "it's just gas."
I also learned what makes it worse or better and despite my paranoia, it is NOT a parasite or Alien.

I am not a Doctor, If you experience any severe pain or "cramping" you should go see one. If your experience vomiting or diarrhea for an extended period of time (24-48 hours) you should go see a doctor. If you think you are pregnant you should go see a doctor. If your stool is black or your urine yellow you should go see a Doctor IMMEDIATELY (unless you took Pepto-bismal, it makes your stool dark purple). If you are like me and hate this random spasm/ foreign ghost baby thing then experiment with your diet and behaviors. Just know you are fine, your stomach is pissed at you for no good reason, and rest easy... No Alien is going to pop out of your stomach and go on to kill the whole crew of your spaceship.

I hope this helps your stress / anxiety... sorry I cant make it go away.

Wow, it sounds like a lot of you are pregnant!  You might want to go to the doctor because I am 17 weeks pregnant, and the "muscle twitches" are actually the first movements I am feeling from the baby.  Are you all sure you aren't pregnant?

I been experienced muscle spasms in my pelvic area and pain over my left side up to my ripcage. Doctors didn't know what it was for over a year.

Yesterday I went to the emergency room just to see what that was. After 2 Rx they found that my hold instestine was full of BM. I felt that I was going to explode!! The doctor ask me for a blood test in order to see the white cells count. The test was good no infection was found. So she told me to use 2 enemas to clean up the colon and in addition dulcolax a laxative sup. For few days. I read that 2 spoons of olive oil will help too.

Boy am I glad I found this site.  For about the past week, I've been experiencing the sensation of a hand at my midriff and seductively moving towards my breasts.  I actually feel violated afterwards and began to wonder if, because I'm a Christian, this was some evilness.  Sometimes the sensation is just gradually moving . . . other times, it's kinda' sharp.  Seriously, it's more seductive and I seriously thought I was going crazy.  Then I googled "muscle spasms" and viola . . . it has to be that.  Gonna' take a magnisium supplement.
