I have a 17 month old and for the last month he has been randomly throwing. I have had him tested for food allergies and they have come back negative. It seems as thought he chokes a bit before he gets sick. His doctor tells me it's a virus. He's always happy after and resumes normal behavir and eating. Is this normal?
My 17 month old is vomitting after breakfast and dinner. This has been occurring for a couple of months. Did you find out what was causing your toddler's problems ?

This is just a thought. I went to the Baby Center and got this information. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it may be something that you would look into.

Sometimes when a young child does this, it could be a behavioral issue. Also sometimes when something is unsettling to a baby, they can literally make themselves throw up. They may have a weak REFLUX VALVE which basically enables them to puke on demand. Ask your Pedi if this is possible.

My son had an infantile stomach valve until he was almost 2 years old. When he threw up, he would cough a few times and out it came, a lot.

I was so frustrated and concerned that he was not getting enough nutrition, but eventually he grew out of it. He was a chubby baby even tho he threw up everything that went in.
