Hi, did this help going back on?
Did you end up losing the wight you gained with your supplements? I have been off BCP for over one year now and have been struggling an entire year to lose the 15 lbs I gained. You name it I have tried it. (Maca, DIM, Vit D, etc etc) My story is similar to everyone else's. I'v always been fit, active eat healthy and does not matter what I do, cannot lose 1 pound. I feel so out of my body and nobody believes me that the pill can cause this. How is this not more widely known based on the thousands of posts online? I REALLY need a success story from someone! Please. I am going to get my hormones tested on Monday but even if they are out of whack, are prescription drugs really going to help?
also waiting for a positive reply. got eleven kilos depressed
any answer with the se results?
any results afterwards?
I found out five years after struggling with this issue that I had PCOS. They put me on metformin. It means your body is insulin resistant and fat loss will be very difficult but possible. Metformin with a high protein low carb diet is the best I can do. I did lose some of the weight. Still working on 5 more. Hope this helps!
I was so glad to stumble upon this page after googling and searching many sites..
I stopped taking BC in January (after being on it for 15 years) and in just 3 months I have gained over 10 lbs and all in my stomach and hips. It looks like I am pregnant! I knew something was wrong when I tried drastically changing my diet to be a lot healthier and I started working out regularly and I only continued to GAIN weight. I have been at a steady 135 lbs my entire adult life and when I have gained a few pounds here and there I could fluctuate my diet slightly to knock off the 2 or 3 pesky pounds around swimsuit season.. but this time nothing is working and none of my pants fit! Like many of the women who have posted on here, I was/am losing my mind over what is happening to my body! I am going to go back on the pill today and I will let you know if I see any changes in a week/month. Really hoping to get my normal body back! Please post if you are here and tried going back on the pill and let me know your results!

i have hypoglycemia now...wonder iif it is related to the insulin resistance?
An update 15 days later... no real changes. I'm not starving myself and I'm maintaining.. so I think it is getting better. I know changes will take time...so I will let you know in a month or so if all of the weight dropped off after my body gets use to being back on the pill.
I was on Amethia (generic for Seasonique) for years and went off because my script ran out and I immediately began gaining weight. I had horrible mood swings/acne and felt bloated all the time but especially after eating (even if it was only a couple of bites). I was gaining weight though I was really watching what I ate (because of the weight gain) but it didn't seem to help to cut down on my caloric intake. I personally blame it on the hormonal changes associated with stopping the birth control. I have been back on a similar type of birth control for 2 weeks now and my skin is clearing and I have already lost a few lbs. I probably gained a total of 15-20 lbs in 3 months and nothing fit anymore and I had to buy bigger clothes and was miserable at all times. I have RA as well so I already have enough problems at 33 yrs old, so I don't need the increased weight gain/acne issues as well. I need to be on birth control for my RA meds anyway so it was a "no-brainer" to go back on them. I will try to remember to update this periodically to let you all know if the weight continues to come off. I am very hopeful that things will get back to what is almost normal for me. I found many posts about gaining weight after discontinuing bcps but not much about what happened after re-starting them. I suppose things were beginning to get better after a few months of being off the bcps because my body was adjusting, but it was time to get back on them and see what happens. My derm also put me on spironolactone for the acne so we'll see how that goes. I have exogenous Cushing's from long-term steroid use for the RA and it screwed up so many things so hopefully the spiro will help some of them. The gyn I went to said she didn't think d/c bcps could cause weight gain but you know how it is in the medical field, something isn't accepted until studies report it to appear true. Hang in there ladies!
I am also experiencing weight gain and a lot of it quick since getting off birth control. I also eat clean and workout and this does not seem normal for my body. I have also checked my thyroid and it is good. What could be causing this??
Im really considering going back on DIane 35...my skin is horrible, I'm becoming depressed and 15kg is NOT fun!!!
I thought I was crazy...I've never carried excess weight in my belly and I'm 1.5 months off Yaz and NOTHING fits around my waist. Guess I will go back on!
Did your weight gain ever go down? How long did it take?
