Well, I also have ( For two months ) a red bump with a white tip. Dentist said he sees that from time to time. Not painful. No pain but sometimes it does get sensitive. My bridge broke ( Came loose ) and then the bump popped up. I have never popped it. Ha Ha I'm scared to do that. When the dentist fixed my broken bridge he never mentioned the bump. I have to go back for a cleaning in May 13 so I'll see what happens by then. I will keep you informed. Glad to discover I'm not the only one with those bumps on gums.

Let me say the dentist did not say anything about the bump when he fixed my bridge but a few weeks ago when I got my teeth cleaned that's when they noticed the bump. They gave me penicillin but never went away.

Hi,
It is yeast growth. When you eat sugar in any form it will show up in the next 8 hours. Usually it will be bigger in the morning and will shrink during the day. You have yeast overgrowth in your body and it is infecting weaker spots, where there is already some tiny infection going.
Cut off your diet sugar and anything with baker's yeast.
And take care of your gums. Also never go for root canal - asking for more infection.
It will help.

I had this lump for four days. I thought it would go away but it didn't. I think you should use mouth rinse 3 times a day. It went away that evaning. If it doesn't work after 3 days, you should go to the doctor.

Hello I'm Caroline and I'm 22 y/o. I've just realised that i have a lump on the top left side of my gum.. When i apply pressure it causes pain to my tooth and to the lump, it feels very sensitive.  I haven't got a lump on the other side but have also realised that if i feel my two front teeth the left tooth is longer than the right tooth which has no lump.. It's really worrying and I don't believe its a cyst or abscess, its quite hard and high up on my gum.  Hopefully you can assist with my concern.. Thank you

this sounds like it might be a cyst or cystic lesion- it't sort of like a pimple but can sometimes grow to be very big under the skin if left alone. I'd recommend asking your physician or oral dentist about it.

The "bump" is actually from cavities. Very often, a part of the cavitie will come back and form a little bubble. I know its not painful beacause I have it and (I'm 9 years old) it dosen't cause any pain. BUT you do have to get 1 or 2 teeth pulled for it to go away. I forget what it's called.( I'm a girl) I don't know if boys can get it to.

Hope this helps.

P.S: You should call a dentist if you have this.

you shouldn't wait to tell your parents, the longer you wait the more you are going to worry and it needs to be taking care of and waiting it will get worst.

I have the same thing but its on the opposite side of my mouth. And I tried to put a dip there and a lump appeared. Is this something I should get checked out right away or wait and see if it goes away? Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hello. I had the same thing as you but on the upper right side around 11/1; same thing about pressing and feeling something move. No real pain but at times sensitive. I have no dental insurance so I got creative in the interim. 11/10, I peroxide my toothbrush which initially started out foaming. I use Plax, pre-rinse to loosen gunk on the teeth. I brush, gently brushing the gums including trouble spot. Rinse. Then I use Crest Advanced formula rinse that is supposed to kill germs and reverse gingivitis. I saw a reduction in 24 hours. 48 and it has gone down to like a knot, like a scar. It hasn't flared like it did initially I am guesstimating it's some sort of bacterial virus thing. Maybe it's a perforation of sinus that drained in and what I'm doing is allowing healing and closure. I just know this has been what has worked for me, and I hope it works for others.

Hello Lloyd, I myself have experienced this problem in the past and have an answer that is 99% reliable. It appears you have baby dinosaurs nesting in your mouth. While the cause of the condition is unknown (although if you have been participating in sexual activities with a dinosaur, that is self explanatory), it is nothing to worry about. Over the next few days or weeks, the bubbles will grow as your dinosaur offspring develop. When they reach full term, they will hatch from these bubbles in the dead of night. When you wake up in the morning surrounded by these babies, do not be alarmed - they come in peace. They will roam your bedroom before releasing themselves into their new habitat - your backyard (make sure you have a fence). Congratulations on your impending fatherhood/motherhood. Some suggested names for your little ones: Horace, Calvin, Alvin, Santa, Jesus, Moses, Edwin, Daisy, Diamond, Rose, Margaret, Darcy, Leslie, Alexander, Anne, Luphie Kind regards, Proud Dinosaur Mother and Wise Housewife
