I was on Oxy for years as before was getting constant uti. It was the best thing ever. I had no side effects at all. It stopped all the uncomfortable spasms almost at once. Definately check with your GP, but I would recommend it.

Hi ! I got a surgery because of a kidney infection when i was 16. I had this arousal sensation you guys talk about a month after the surgery. It was horrible, i couldn't sleep/focus on normal activities. I had it for 1 and half years a doctor said i should try Physiotherapy. I did physical therapy for 4 months and its gone. I'm 20 now and its been gone for more then a year. You should try it.

I really hope someone sees this , I am going through this now for weeks and it's awful! It's now March and my last confirmed uti was December 30th - since then I have had discomfort etc, but nothing as bad as this clitoral pain - I can feel it up to my belly button ! Did yours ever get better ??

I am in distress as well. I had two UTI tests and both came up negative. I've had 4 UTI related drugs with very little to no response. I'm scheduled for a ultrasound in 10 days and my urologist in 20 days - in Florida doctors appointments are very difficult to get even when in pain. I visited both my primary care and GYN. Nothing unusual per the GYN. She gave me Vasicare which relaxes the muscles but I have a constant urge to pee and a sensation like a chipmunk is scratching it's way out of my bladder. My GYN checker for parasites and there is nothing. I used AZO which helped a bit at first but it's only 3 days. I run out of my Vasicare samples tomorrow and then will try cystex which can only be used two days. I am disappointed by the lack of urgency when I'm reporting pain and discomfort. My only relief is a lower back massage. That relaxes the muscles and holds me over for about 12 hours. I have never had a health issue of any kind and am wondering if this is some reaction to additives to food? I'm literally praying for relief.

This! This is exactly it!. November 3rd 2015 the year that this "strange sensation" started happening to me. I don't even know how to say i just know my life is done, im 21 i finished college almost a year ago. Right after a couple weeks of taking cipro this happened. I don't know if this some permanent tissue damage because everyone laughs at me when I bring it up but im here inable to sleep, read a book, enjoy life. This constant f*****g clitoral arousal is driving me crazy its literal hell. If any1 has done anything that has help, please, please let me know because all im resorting to is putting ice there 24/7 and seeing a doctor will just get me more depressed, i can't even blame doctors for not taking this seriously, who the hell gets this?? It was so hard to find someone relatable through google searches.

Hi everyone. I have had this too, on and off for a few years. My take on it is this: (and of course, I'm not a doctor, but this is my theory) You get a UTI, then you treat the UTI with antibiotics, then the antibiotics give you a yeast infection. Then, you treat the yeast infection, but some yeast still remains and irritates the clitoris. For me, there are two separate issues with their own separate sets of symptoms. Sometimes, I have burning during urination, burning when I eat acidic foods etc. In my view, this is irritation left over from the UTI. It helps me to drink lots of water and try to maintain alkaline urine (so it doesn't burn) by taking calcium, potassium, and magnesium supplements. Eventually (after about 6 months for me), this calms down and goes away. A separate issue is yeast irritating the clitoris. I don't know if it gets under the hood, down into the tissues, or if just small amounts of yeast from the vagina get around the clitoris and I have developed a hypersensitivity to it, but something certainly irritates my clitoris. I feel uncomfortably aroused, annoying pain that is completely localized to my clitoris. It is not itchy, and now always devastatingly painful, but more just annoying and frustrating because I just want to go back to being a normal 28 year old who thinks of her clitoris as a party of the body for pleasure, not pain. I am 90% sure it is yeast. I was having very little relief until my gynecologist put me on Diflucan long-term. I have been taking diflucan every day for about 2 months now, and I'm finally starting to feel relief from the clitoral pain. I did not start to feel relief until about 2 months in. I also have tried non-drug anti-yeast treatments (garlic, coconut oil, pau d'arco, grapefruit seed extract, etc.), but I cannot say that any particular one has made a huge difference. Perhaps the combo of these plus the Diflucan is helping. Now, I have relief from the clitoral pain, but I still have some bladder sensitivity. My hope is that my body will heal from the bladder sensitivity in 6 months to a year. Then, I will really try to avoid UTIs and not begin the awful cycle all over again. I hope my experience is enlightening or can help you in some way. Meg
