I also had UTI, and on the same day the bladder issues started I began to have this awful pain in the clitoris. The pain is constant - an aching, pulling, gnawing, pinching pain - it makes walking painful. I've had it for 2 months, all day, all night - ranging from mild to severe. The bladder symptoms have improved a lot, but not gone entirely. I have tried Canesten, Vagisil, metronizadole antibiotics and timodine cream - they haven't made any difference for me but may help somebody else out there. I wonder if it is nerve related pain caused by the UTI. Or a bacterial infection which needs different antibiotics. I am finding it hard to live like this. Good luck to everyone here - it is good not to be alone having these problems - I really hope we get better from this.

Hey KitKat I know it's been some time since you first posted! However I am having exact same symptoms following nu UTI. Did you ever figure anything out as to what was causing this or did it spontaneously just subside?

Hi all, I’m too going through this hell, not quite the same as you all with this arousal feeling but had a bad uti 5 months ago and it took 3 lots of antibiotics to get rid of it. However it didn’t feel any better after meds but my samples were coming back clear. My bladder still feels sore really low down and it almost feels like my pelvic floor is sore too. I now have this tenderness near my vagina at times and I’m so sick of it. I’m seeing a urologist in 3 weeks and I’m not convinced the infection ever completely cleared, just hoping it will go away as I can’t take it anymore!

Your bladder and maybe even your uretha is inflamed/irritated from the infection. I am not a doctor this is just my personal thoughts on it. It takes some time to heal that. Eat clean, drink plenty of water yo dilute the urine, and do not drink anything fizzy or acidic. It will aggervate the inflammation. Try to relax, do deep breathing exercises, take a warm sitz bath with Epson salt, and know that your body is healing itself.

Hi have you had blood tests for your thyroid because I'd have the same problem I'd have a uti. Constantly and would be constantly turned on and sex would be last thing on my mind but my Dr says it's possibly my underactivery thyroid.

Hi Guest! Did you go see a urologist?
I have the sane problem. Had UTI doctor put me on Cipro twice. Got better but it has left that lingering effect on the urethra. I hate going to a urologist as they imsert a scope abd they have to give an antibiotic so you don't get an infection. More antibiotic. Frrustratimg. I wish someone had an answer.

I had this same issue also and promised myself that if I found a solution I would post it here because it was the worst sensation I've ever experienced. I couldn't even function because all day long I was thinking about my pain which seemed to fluctuate between my urethra and clitoris.... burning, pinching, arousing, tingling....it was agony. I went to a urologist who explained it was probably a lack of estrogen! It can effect not only your vagina and vulva but also your bladder and urethra. I'm in my first year of menopause and for some reason my GP and gyno couldn't figure it out, duh. Instead they treated me for yeast, bv and uti even though all my tests came back NEGATIVE! So with added topical estrogen my symptoms are improving.

Interstitial Cystitis. I had what the doctors thought we’re reoccurring UTI’s. Cystitis mimics UTI symptoms so do yourself a favor and talk to your doctor about it. I spent years on antibiotics and destroyed my intenstines. Life doesn’t necessarily get easier but you can control it through diet, medication, and knowing your triggers.

I had this exact issue and found relief with one of the earlier suggestions of 8 oz water, 2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Relief within a few hours.

Hi Meg,
I am having the EXACT same symptoms as you, same story - almost as if I wrote it. Did you find any relief? Feel 100% better?
