I have the same problem and it's terrible but I had it a few years ago and after about 2 months the gyno said I had bacterial vaginitis and was treated with flagyl. Basically, when I had the original UTI the antibiotics I took just completely stuffed up all the balance in my vagina which allowed other things to grow and further impact the balance. But for some reason flagyl fixed that and I felt a lot better. This time I will try ACV and inserting vitamin c into my vagina before I try flagl again.

Same thing here. I have been researching biofilm infections of the bladder and other organs in the body. Check this out: Dr. Bill Costerton: Diagnosing and Treating Biofilm Infections
It is not an answer, but at least getting us closer to understanding is happening.
good luck everyone!! I wish us all relief for this.

Same reaction here after 15 days of cipro for a bad uti. Clitoris pain/pressure and vaginal burning. I was tested for another uti yeast infection, bv, and stds and all came back negative. My Dr. put me on a probitic containing cranberry, vitamin C and lactobacillus acidophilus. VH essentials is the brand I went with and in a week all the sensation is gone. He thinks all the good bacteria down there was depleted from all the antibiotics I was on. I thought for sure I would live with the pain forever and I feel so much better. Hoping to bring some relief to some of you. It's the worst irritation I've experienced in my live down there!! Good luck!

Hey there... I read your comment about AZO in Canada. Apparently the pharmaceutical company that manufactured it here decided to take it off the market because it wasn't profitable (although I can't imagine how lol). It wasn't removed because of any associated health risks. Actually, you CAN still get it in Canada but you would need to get your Rx filled at a compounding pharmacy. They will essentially mix the drug there for you. You can look online to find a compound pharmacy near you. I advise you to call a few and compare prices. One pharmacy near me (Greater Toronto Area) charges around $100 for 20 capsules whereas another only charges $15. I'm not sure why but I assume it has to do with the dispensing fees.
Also, my doctor has told me that you CAN take AVO for more than two consecutive days safely. He said that the reason they include that warning is to prevent people from simply taking AVO to mask the symptoms of UTI's without seeking prompt treatment (which of course can lead to all sorts of nasty complications).
Hope that helps! I know how miserable I was when I thought that AVO was unavailable here. To be honest, I prefer to drive to Buffalo twice a year to stock up on AVO. You don't need an Rx in the U.S. and it's much cheaper (less than $10 per pack).
Take care!

I have the same issue, and it's been driving me crazy for years. I'm not sure how accurate this is but I read that women can experience arousal as a result of inflammation in the urinary tract and involuntary spasms in the bladder. Basically, because of our anatomy, our sex organs and structures of our urinary tract system are positioned very close together. As a result when the bladder becomes inflamed (as is the case after multiple infections) it presses against the female g-spot and nerves associated with arousal. That's why you'll sometimes feel physical arousal (to the point of irritation) without any psychological arousal. It also explains why this feeling persists long after thr infection has ended and urinalysis shows no abnormal values. Again, I'm not sure how accurate this is but it does seem to make sense. I can't remember the title of the article but I'm sure with a few internet searches it can be tracked down.

I need help! I had a severe UTI about 6 weeks ago. I had no symptoms and then it attacked me in the middle of the night. I was bleeding clots of blood and couldn't stay off the toilet. I went to the ER and the dr gave me only 3 days of Bactrim. One week later I still had symptoms so I went to the Urgent Care and I still had bacteria so they have me 7 days of another antibiotic. They did a culture and there was no growth. After the antibiotics the UTI went away but the urge to urinate did not. I have had a constant pulling feeling in my bladder. I still have the urge to urinate about every 3--45 minutes and I have to go around 2-3 times a night. My bladder feels week and irritated most of the time. I went to the urologist last Friday and have been taking Myrbetriq for 5 days. The PA gave me a months worth. It is for bladder spasms and is suppose to relax the bladder. I am hoping this helps! Let me know if anything else worked for anyone! This super annoying!

Hi all!
I just wanted to share my experience and hope that it heals some of your minds because I know how terrible utis are and especially the chatter your mind can do after your uti is gone but you're still having symptoms.
So this happened to me almost a month ago, after sex is when I get UTIs.. I went to the Dr they put me on Cipo felt better the next day then the day after that was HELL went back they changed it to Bactrim. Culture showed Bactrim was responding after 8 days of that I was still having what I would call severe bladder pressure and spasms and still burning. I went to the dr showed no sign of bacteria. Went to urgent care next day they did a dip test and showed traces (they think it was a false positive bc I was taking azo) the prescribed me macrobid.. I think that's the name of the antibiotic, sorry if I misspelled it. I was still having pain so I went to a urologist. Basically what happened is bc of the amount of utis in the past and how bad this one was my pelvic floor is inflamed as well as my bladder. He said this is UBER common and it WILL heal. My bladder is NOT damaged although I totally thought it was but he assured me I was OK. I do need to go to Physical Therapy for my pelvic floor but it's already feeling better and I don't start my PT for 15 more days.
A couple things that helped..
I AM NOT A DR. I'm not telling you that this will treat, cure or heal I am just sharing what personally worked for me.
•Water water water I know how annoying it is bc each time you drink your bladder fills and hurts but it will heal..
• Coconut oil and lavender oil I read from a naturopath to stick it right up your vajaja and sure enough that has helped also I apply it to my lower belly.
• lavender baths (I use the brand now essential oils)
• omega 3s
• sit on one of those blow up donut seat things. I know my pain is less when I'm standing and hurts more when I sit so the don't thing has helped.
• just keep telling yourself you're okay and you will get over it. Try and calm the mind, not going to lie a few times I took a half xanex.
• Try and keep a positive attitude and look at the beauty of the world and the people in it. You can choose to lay in bed and be miserable or find joy.
Also I take d-mannose daily, cranberry supplement, yeast control supplement (because of the amount of antibiotics I was taking) I take probiotics too.
I understand we're all different I just wanted to share my story. Healing takes time so as hard as it is be patient.
So much love and support to you all xo

I've been having this issue for almost a year now I've never had uti before or at least diagnosed uti, but I always get this sharp pulsing feeling in my groin, I think it's linked to my anxiety and ptsd issues. It comes and goes tho despite what I'm doing or thinking about, it makes me feel crazy sometimes and it's very inconvenient. It's similar but different from arousal, and sometimes my clit is visibly red and enlarged. when it gets particularly bad, i use aloe vera, as it seems to bring down the swelling and relieve the pulsing sharp sensation in my clit. Sometimes it doesn't bother me at all and sometimes it's anxiety induced and seems to be worse before and after my period.

Started taking Oxybutynin four weeks ago, Stopped as soon as I found out it was the cause of my extreme dry. Still have the dry mouth after only taking it for about a week.

The worst thing to do is to irritate your bladder more with acidic drinks especially vinegar. You want to encourage the bladder mucosa to recover!! Drink water and and no drinks with caffeine or alcohol.

Your story sounds like mine. They say because of the red blood cells, I might be developing a kidney stone. What happened with your issue? A kidney stones has me all nervous cause of the pain!
