Hey if you guys think you are sick you need to go see a doctor and not ask people who are not qualified for the answers. Somebody could you something wrong and you make your symptoms progress or something bad could happen all because you didn't see a professional. If it's money that is stopping you then go talk to your local hospital and they will help you find ways to not have bills. Theres special things that they can do to help you. And last but not least, if your under 18 years old and having worries about smoking issues...You should'nt be smoking in the first place. Trust me, I started at age 14 and i regret it more than anything so take my advice and quit while you can. Its a waste of money and can change your life in many ways, you may not realize it now but one day you will...

i have had the same things happening to me, today i spit out phlegm and i cant remember wat was in it i didnt look closely i think it was blood it looked a bit dark and ive been having a slightly sore throat and problems swallowing and my throat is always dry and i get thirsty all the time... i dont wanna tell my parents because they dont know i smoke...
If you are coughing a lot, and have had a sore throat for a while, then your throat can become irritated, which can cause slight bleeding. However, if you are coughing up blood without mucus, or if you don't have a sore throat, or if there is a lot of blood, then it is best to contact your doctor to be safe.
This doesn't have to do with smoking. I am a generally healthy person (non-smoker), and caught whatever this is. Antibiotics are bull sh*t- I went to the doctor explaining these same symptoms and they told me that I have Acid Reflex- I know exactly what Acid Reflex is and bloody mucus has nothing to do with it. Hopefully whatever it is passes, its obviously not fatal, so I say keep those money hungry doctors out of it.
I am sick for the secount day now. i have a soar throat, head aches and a fever last night. this morning i was told to gargle hydrogen peroxcide to make my throat feel better and i accidentaly swallowed some and threw up. a liltle later i spit out a weired bloody squishy mucusy thing 0.o. Now im just wondering what the hell i just spit up!?
im 18 and a smoker ive been trying to quit recently and i have been coughing up bloody mucus. also some mornings when i blow my nose there is a bit more blood. when i cough to much i get this tickle in my throat and it nearly makes it impossible to stop... worried a bit
i smoked a day or two before getting blood in my spit, ew, but i think it definitely has something to do with it....
I've smoked cigarettes and weed steady for 13 years once in a while have symptoms but it's usually just nasal throat and lung infection

More then likely these are actually signs of strep throat or a lung infection do to a build up of mucous in the lungs. Look in the mirror and say Ahhh, and try and see if you can see any white patches in the back of your throat. This is a good indication that you have strep throat that has been aloud to progress a little to far although not all people will have these signs if you catch it before it progresses to far and trust me you want to. Sever cases of infection cause sever headaches that usually start at the back of the scull and kind of rap around and almost feel like an ear infection in one or both ears, Light irritation, sore throat, mucus mixed with blood, and in some cases a rash. All of these symptoms usually come after a high fever. This is something that gets worse with time and the sooner you go to a walk in clinic or your local doctor the better. Strep throat is contagious and can be life threatening to small children or the elderly. If it is a lung infection, which is rare and has some of the same symptoms you want to get to a doctor ASAP! As these can lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death.
I am only 15 years old and I've had this really bad cough for about a week and a half. This coughing is also producing a lot of mucus than normal and just recently I woke up to a nose bleed. This is weird for me because I haven't had one in over 10. I'm also starting to see A LOT of blood in my mucus too, or should I say mucus in my blood. Is this just some type of nasal infection or should I just wait and see if it goes away?
You should stop smoking, it does much worse things than blood in your spit
