The latest fade in cosmetic surgery is "adjustment" of the labia, playing upon women's discomfort with the appearance of them. I urge women to think twice before going down this road. Serious consultation with your personal doctor should be considered before making any decision along these lines.
good luck

I'm a guy and it is a BIG turn on to find a woman with large 'inner' lips, they're great to suck on, gently suck them in and stretch them with the mouth...Great you'll love it

I have always though they became stretched out from wiping too agressively (over a number of years). I doubt any kind of sex could affect the length of the labia so I wouldn't worry about that if I were you ;D Overall it seems to be a fairly common problem and I wouldn't fret over such a thing too much.
While my boyfriend was going down on me the other day, he had a bit of a bite and tug on my labia and since then its been hanging down lower then the other nearly protruding the outer labia. Is there anyway it will go back to the way it was?! %-)
omg!! i am soooooooooo relieved after this thread!

Thank goodness I found this! I'm only 12 and one of mine are stretched and rub when I wlk and can b quite irritating. I'm soo relieved that this is a normal issue that many people face.
I am 15 years old and the same thing is happening to me. Except to both of them. Both of them are stretched out about an inch. One of my problems is that they can get caught in pubic hair and be very painful at times. My mom is making me go see a gynecologist. And I might have surgery to get them removed because they hurt so much and are causing problems for me. I recomend talking to your doctor.
I AM A VERY EXPERIENCED 64 YEAR OLD MAN. LABIA LENGTH, THICKNESS, COLOR AND APPEARANCE VARY WIDELY...ALL WITHIN THE "NORMAL" RANGE. I WAS IN A 5 1/2 YEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WHO HAD TWO-INCH LONG DANGLING LABIA THAT SHE HAD CONSIDERED HAVING SURGICALLY SHORTENED. THANKFULLY FOR ME, SHE DID NOT AS I WAS ABSOLUTELY TURNED ON BY THEM. DIFFERENT MEN LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS! IF YOUR LABIA ARE NOT POSING A PROBLEM, LEAVE THEM ALONE. THERE IS NO NEED FOR SURGERY. THE LONGER THEY ARE, THE MORE RARE THEY ARE. THAT MAKES YOU VERY SPECIAL...BE PROUD OF THEM!
Why not just shave off the hair?
Hey just though I'd give a little insite on the surgical aspect incase anyone is courious. Do keep in mind that surgery isn't always the right option for everyone
I too suffered from an overly stretched inner labia and for the most part I think it started to stretch out when I was in middleschool. I tried to ignore it thinking that it wasn't a problem until it got to the point where my right labia was so stretched out that it would rub on my panties and even cause me pain and a lot of annoyance from being pulled on when I sat down. I'd always have to find a way to tuck it back to try to prevent more rubbing and pulling but it would never stay put. It was very embarrasing when I'd have to excuse myself to go to the restroom to try to tuck it back again. :-/
The internet wasn't very helpful in my quest to figure out if what I was experiencing was abnormal and I finally got enough courage to go see my ob gyn about my problem, which oddly he never said anything about during my last check-ups. I asked him "is this normal!?" and he casually told me no. He took a closer look and advised that I consider having reconstruction on my labia if it was extremely bothersome to me. He also told me that it could cause me more problems down the road when I become sexually active cause it could get in the way of intercourse and child birth could cause it to stretch even more. At that point I had enough with all the tugging, pulling and rubbing I would experience on a day to day basis so I ended up getting the surgery.
I personally wouldnt advise it unless you really are uncomfortable with your labia on a pain factor. If you just dont like its appearence then surgery isn't worth it. Its better to learn to love you uniqueness. In all it took me two weeks of recovery after the surgery and several more after that to get to a status where I no longer felt any pain from the surgery. Definitely not for the faint of heart and it was worse for me cause the pain meds made me very sick so I ended up going without them after the first day :-(
Currently its been 8 months since my surgery and I'm completely healed and very happy. I now think to my self "so this is what it's like without having all this pain and trouble, to be noraml"
If I didn't have such a painful problem with my stretched labia I would not have gotten the surgery cause again its very painful. It's a place where there are a lot of nerves and you shouldn't plan on ever sitting for at least 2-3 weeks after the surgery.
Again I suggest that you learn to love your body unless, like me, this issue is rather painful and is nessary for your happiness. I personally wuld go through it again only because I'm very happy with the results and can now sit without any issues of my labia :-)

im still wondering, but one side is longer than the other, and it really makes me concerned. idk if its from masturbating or what. ://
Ohmygosh! i've been worried about this ever since middle school!
i was afraid to be naked in front of my girlfriend for the longest time! (yes im gay.)
now i know that its normal ¬hing to be ashamed of.
Thanks everyone! <3

I feel very greatful to have found this thread. I'm 18 and this started happening to me at around 14 and when I asked my mother about it she thought that I was sexually active and accused me of a number of things that I've never done and have been afraid of for almost 5 years. I'm on a friends computer now. It's just a relief to know that it's natural and I'm normal.
