I've been on 8mg of Suboxone for 2 months. It really worked for me but I don't have insurance and therefore cannot continue. What do I have to worry about when it comes to withdrawl, I so afraid.
Just wean off of it slowly and remember that whatever you experience is only because of the withdrawal and will pass. Definitely expect depression, but it shouldn't be that bad. Anyways, good luck to you, best wishes...
I'm sorry, but reading that Suboxone isn't as bad as heroin or any other opiates is completely WRONG. I just left rehab. I had been taking up to 4-5 8mg pills a day, buying off of the street. I was also a heroin addict 14 years ago (I'm 31) and the withdrawl from the Suboxone was so much more intense and HORRIFYING. My brain wouldn't tell my muscles how to work properly (due to my f*cked central nervous system) and my legs would kick while I was walking, my arms would "punch" out , I couldn't get words out properly, I stopped breathing for 15 seconds and had to have a bed check every 10-15 minutes. It's been 25 days and I'm still sneezing, runny nose, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, problems controlling my body temperature, insomnia....among other horrors. The staff advised this could go on for months or up to a year! The emotional problems are terrible as well. Depression, anxiety, constant crying, emotional roller coaster rides. DO NOT USE THIS DRUG RECREATIONALLY!!!!!! It is NOT more mild than any other opiate. Don't fool yourself. I did. I paid for it.
