I had my first back surgery 9 years ago, I took pain meds, failed back surgery, 1 year later repeat back surgery, I am taking pain meds. I wake one day shaking sick and said this is enough I want off. My teeth are fine, nice white pretty smile. I traveled to Costa Rica had dental work done, been to Mexico for Dental work. This Doctors were great. I also went to the dentist here in the states while I had good insurance. I had all metal removed and white put in. I was told I should be in toothpaste commercial, My Pain Management Dr. said, I need to try this Suboxone 8mg2mg. It was for drug addictions but it was found to control back pain. It Does. But, I have lost almost all my back teeth. Now its going for my eye teeth, I can't stop it. First I had to have emergency root canal which the dentist really messed up and did it while infected, instead of treating the infection first his greedy self went and did it all 500$. I was already in extreme pain. That day I had appointment to have a back procedure done that I would be put under, my begging on my knees the Dr agreed, I knew once he put me under I would have temp relief. He prescribed me antibiotics. My pain was gone. I live on disability now unable to work, I didn't sue anybody. The surgeon should have been, to late by the time I realized he was at fault for me to have the 2nd surgery. Fact, I never was a drug addict. I was becoming addicted and I put a stop to it, people may disagree with me. IDC. In my life I was never a drug user a junkie I took care of my teeth. I brushed 3 times a day I carried a tooth brush with me. I drank a lot of water more than 8 glasses a day, I was a outside plant telephone woman, 1000$ month disability close to homeless due to failed back surgery unable to go back to work as the Surgeon said I would be able to return to work. My career gone, Now my teeth.I can't afford a bridge. I need a aggressive lawyer to open the path for many of us that were not drug addicts, but victims of the drug Suboxone. It did destroy my life, my confidence, ability for relationships, ability to chew food. nothing can be given for the person with dental pain because your on Suboxone. It's all a big lie. Suboxone kills your teeth gives you bad breath makes a pretty woman ugly. It takes the pain but look at the consequences. Maybe no one wanted to read all this. I am telling you under GOD its all very true. If a lawyer wants this I live in Palm Bay Fl.I had to reply to the above post. No, not every victim of suboxone is or was a junkie. MsBetty

Seriously though. I was only on Suboxone for 4 months and only up to 8mg. Immediately I started having bad effects. And not just with my teeth. I have a tooth that is rotten and more that are damaged too. It started after I got off of Suboxone. The other effects I had from this drug were my hair falling out in clumps, severe joint pain, body parts falling asleep for no reason, depression, and my speech would mess up. What I mean by my speech messing up is that I'd think whatever it was that I was about to say and say it and it wasn't until after it came out of my mouth that I would realize that the words came out all mixed up. It wasn't just me who had these effects either. I was part of an outpatient group that everyone was using Suboxone and all had these effects plus more. We'd see the doctor once a week and they would avoid our questions and wouldn't even try to check anything out for us. But as soon as I was off Suboxone all of those symptoms stopped. Except the teeth part. This drug is poisoning people who are trying to do the right thing and get their life together. It's not fair that doctors don't listen to us just because we are addicts. Addiction doesn't make you just not know your body. You know what's normal for your body still even when you are an addict. I mean I was only addicted to percs for about a year and realized I needed to quit now before it was years and years down the road and I'd wasted my life. So maybe it's different for people who have been addicted longer. Addicts have a hard enough time in this world with not being stigmatized we should not be being poisoned for making the right choice. And our doctors and the world should still listen to us about this. Also Suboxone is hell to get off of. I weened myself down from 8 mg to less than one (idk for sure because I weened myself and was taking like basically a crumb of it a day). I still was in horrible withdrawal for over a month. I used kratom which helped so so much! It helped take about 90% of my symptoms away. Anyway thanks for posting about going to the FDA website I didn't know you could do that. Good luck you guys. I have to go and try and get my tooth yanked out on Monday because it's making me so sick.

Please help I am looking at $70,000 in dental bills after being on Suboxone for 4 years I don't know what to do I was not a person who used heroin or any hard drugs although that shouldn't matter the point is everybody on the side is trying to get clean and if a person with diabetes was facing the same flight from a medication they were given a lawsuit would have been filed many many years ago what's happening is we are addicts and in society's eyes we deserve what we get. That's not fair I don't know if anybody else has had any luck contacting a attorney I personally have had no luck I'm in desperate need of help if anybody has any information that they can share I am willing to listen everybody trying to get well deserves to be well and not be taken advantage of by unscrupulous drug companies this is a sad situation and a lot of America is facing this it's only a matter of time before it happens unfortunately time is not on my side thank you in advance for any information you are willing to share and may God bless each and everyone of you for having the courage to go on this site and post
