Lol. "Can't do penis to help me." I needed that giggle. What I said was "can't do d--k to help me." Isn't it quaint that people still believe that certain mouth-noises have magical power to them and have to be hidden away so that magical power can't hurt other people? Hilarious.

Dentures at only 41? I'm facing the exact same fate and I just turned 29 two months ago. Don't feel too bad, my friend. Think of dentures as being an upgrade. It's like getting a nice, new, fancy and clean custom interior for your car, except it's in your mouth, and dentures are way better than excruciating shattered teeth. Suboxone is most likely responsible for my accelerated tooth loss, but I also clench and grind my teeth in my sleep, and even with a mouth guard my molars have almost all broken, and I couldn't get in to see a dentist before the Suboxone-accelerated decay brought them past the point of being saved.
I feel your pain, my friend. This is all extremely frustrating and staggeringly painful and it infuriates me to an incredible extent, but we'll all get through it, one way or another.

I'm just curious how long were you on the med and which one the film or pill form?
So far I've been okay with my teeth but I have chronic issues with my sublingual glands getting blocked or my glands are always swollen!
The pill form was better for me because I had issues with my glands getting blocked more frequently than with the pill!
I hope you can find out if anyone has started a class action law suit because it appears numerous people are having issues from the drug.

My dentist, a very experienced and well-known educator, called my physician during my first visit. Told her Subuxone had destroyed my teeth and to wean immediately so I could start oral surgery. He had taken my history, as a pain patient who couldn't afford the buprenorphine patch, so was prescribed the sublingual form. He asked how long I had been on it (2 years...) and just excused himself to contact her. I had crown posts just break off and all teeth near where I was dissolving the med have cracked and many lost.

It's not simply that it causes dry mouth, but the fact that it numbs the mouth. I have had zero pain when any tooth cracked. That's frightening and deserves attention. They are forcing pain patients onto this drug now, and should their bodies heal - their teeth may be ruined. It makes people give up on working towards wellness and it's unconscionable. Most are struggling to pay specialists and for prescriptions monthly.

If someone has no addiction history this should not be put in their mouth to control pain,,..

I am a person on the outside looking in. And you're wrong this time. I have a friend who has major back problems. they had her on Victoria 5g500 for less then 6 months. she NEVER used more then 2 a day. Because she had watched a family member who had abused thier for years. So she was scared to death of addiction. Her Dr recommended the suboxin instead to control the pain. even with that they gave her 2 a day she uses 1. her teeth went from perfect to falling out. It's the suboxin in some cases and Not the original oppiate.

I am completely stunned to see all of this....I've been in subs for 3 years and my teeth have all been falling out and my dentist said he's never seen teeth deterioate as fast as mine. I have scheduled an appointment to have ALL of the rest of my teeth pulled and am getting upper and lower dentures!! I'm mortified...I'm only 42...mom and wife with normal cleaning habits. Brush, floss, mouthwash....I just can't believe how naive I've been because I've totally trusted my Harvard Graduate Dr and she said she's never heard of any tooth decay from suboxone....what do I do??? Scared

Same,
I've been taking subutex for well over a year 8mg 3x daily and my teeth are rotting out of my face with cavities stretching from side to side top to bottom. Something seriously needs to be done because the dental bill is going to be extreme. I think it's time for this class action, I'm not trying to make money and put to fix the problem that occurred while fixing my problem with percocet that was legitimately prescribes for pain

I have been on Suboxone for 12 years starting off at 8 G's. Had gone off at after a year being on it myself without any help or detox. I did not know the severity of this drug. I was very determined and did successfully get off Suboxone on my. However I never felt like myself after. I waited a whole year until I went back and started on this again. I have gone now to two rehabs comma as well as gotten off again by myself. My brain is just not working the same so I had to go back on on these god-awful pills. I am on 2.5 mg at present day and my teeth are rotting out of my mouth as well. I have had beautiful teeth my whole life and never had one cavity. I am 47 years old and just had two halfs and a root canal. I was a model and was never a drug addict. I had had back surgery and could not tolerate the opiates they had given me so my doctor had suggested this. It has ruined my life but thankfully I have a wonderful husband and four beautiful boys that support me in dealing with all of the side effects that go along with suboxone. Depression and anxiety a general feeling of not well being. I found that what helps me is to try and stay positive. There are so many side effects that this drug has given me. I have no idea this is so hard to get off of and this drug causes so much havoc in people's lives since it is prescribed safe alternative to opiate use. I truly hope that all of you will beat this Suboxone issue or find peace in your life. Whether you are in pain or have been addicted to opiates. I truly believe that if you are on this medication, your brain chemistry changes the dopamine receptors become Nolan void because they are relying on the chemicals in the Suboxone to regulate your self. Has anyone heard of any ways to get back the dopamine in your brain? The teeth issue is just one thing for me, so many more issues as well. Thinning of the hair, low self-esteem, low energy, lower libido, self isolation... just to name a few. I am intrested in filling a lawsuit but I think the one person is right who responded in the post above. A judge would not Grant any verdict of guilty to the company that made Suboxone or give out any money to those who choose to take it because it does say on the pamphlet that it causes dry . Which in turn causes tooth decay. Just remember that you are not alone in you're suffering. If anyone is reading this post and starting Suboxone I truly believe that you should only be on this drug for only a month or two and then wean yourself down if you can possibly. It will save you a lot of heartache and physical ailment in the end. Best wishes to all of you!

Scott, wrong not everyone on suboxone was abusing opiates. I was introduced to it because I have cancer, and that is what they gave me.I never took more than prescribed.now I am stuck on suboxone, with longer half life and harder to quit
