My daughter has been on suboxone treatment for about a month now -   Sometimes she acts fine - sometimes she acts a little drunk.    Last night she was fine one minute and then all of a sudden she was not acting drunk  but she was totally confused - she was saying things that didn't make sense at all - confused about where she was and what was going on - Very scary  -  That lasted about 30 minutes and then she seemed okay again - She said later she drank a little voka but I am not sure I buy that      I found about 6 Benadyrl pills missing - Could the Benadyrl caused that reaction -  or is she probably taking something she is not telling me about   Could she get that type of reaction from taking too much suboxone
In response to your posting..Yes, benadryl can intensify the sedative effect of suboxone..and as far as too much suboxone ..it kinda matters on how much she is on, but personally, I have only seen someone who wasn't opiate tolerant get messed up after taking suboxone. A real problem that can happen and does seem to go along with trying to intensify the suboxone buzz is taking some type of benzo(ativan, klonopin, xanax..etc..) just like some patients do that take methadone..take a benzo to get higher and unfortunately, this is an extremely dangerous practice that has lead to many accidental deaths! I hope this helped a little and that all is well with your daughter!
