I'm here to tell you that it's been 2 weeks for myself and it's been cray. But I've been on 24 MG for 10 years. I've went cold turkey. So it's been diarrhea, nausea, and little sleep bc of the crazy insomnia. Crazy racing heartbeat. I'm glad it's not been that way for you. But everyone's experience is different.

I was on suboxone for 12 years. It took 17 days for me to detox.

Stay where you are. You already have a foot ahead in the game so you do not want to go back now. If you can make it 3 day you can do it. The more you can push yourself to do as far as activity goes... the better off you will be.

I'm posting this for others who may be looking for tje same answers. I've been off of Suboxone for a little over three months. I still feel wretched. The back pain, fatigue and depression are the worst of it. I have lost my business from being bedridden for the first two months. I wish I had checked into a rehab instead of doing this on my own. But after 7 years of this shitty medicine, I wanted to be done with it. I now use social media to try to let as many people as possible know that subs are not the way to go. Sadly the reason it took me so long to finally quit on my own was a post I saw that said the guy posting had been going through WD's for 19 months. Suboxone was made to be used for no longer than 45 days. Why wasn't I made aware of this fact? Anyway yeah 3 months and I still feel pretty bad. I don't have cravings though. But I haven't for years.

I'm on day 5 1/2 of cold turkey from 8mg a day. I started out on Suboxone strips which eventually led to snorting Subutex. I've never had a prescription and my state doesn't even have Subutex clinics and it's 10 times as hard to find a pharmacy who fills them. I always purchased off the street. Recently got my tax refund which was the worst thing that could have happened. Literally spent thousands on the drug and that money ran dry almost a week ago. My symptoms are to the point where they're coming in waves. No sleep. Been dosing myself on Benadryl and just wondering when the hell will finally end. My last dose was over 5 days ago and was 2mg. I don't know how much longer I can keep it together.

I did the same exact thing but I took such a small amount I barely even got the high so I'm not sure how I'm withdrawaling because mine was about a month of doing it and now I have sweats and chills at separate times and it's more bareable then perc withdrawals but I wanna know how long it will last.. It's day 4! An I just get the sweats and chills and the fatigue during the day. I nap like 30 mins 3x a day but te withdrawals are usually worse around noon-2pm and in the evening I don't have any As long as I'm keeping busy and not thinking about if I'm gonna feel like sh*t or not.

Going on day 6! Been on subs since 2010 and it's been the last year that I told myself that I had to get off of them . I am almost 45 sitting at 250 6ft tall. I know I won't feel right for awhile but I did my research on what supplements to take and it seems to help. Have an overseas trip coming up in October and want to be completely sober for this event. 25th wedding anniversary. Also stopped taking antidepressants a year ago and adderall 6 months ago. So it's been a very emotional year but I know that tomorrow will be better . Sometimes I am wrong but laying around moaning and groaning won't do you any good. I actually layed out in the sun the other day.

I'm on subixen too. My first question is why the hell do they give you a controlled substance to get off a narcotic? I was an opiod abuser myself for 8 years. Anything from perks. tabs, roxies, opanans, and oxycontin. I've been on suboxen now for two years. And I'm wanting to.taper down. But I'm afraid to mention it to my doctor. Meaning I'm afraid I won't be able to do it. I take the 8/2 mgs. And a lot of times I tend to take more than I should. Since its summer vacation. I'm really wanting to try to cut back or even just detox from it. I'm more worried about being the fatigue more than anything. I even took .ote than I should have this month so I couldn't take any but one. And that's for twelve more days. Also I feel as if while taking the suboxen that some days I don't need any or that one does me fine. I think it's more of a mental thing telling me "hey take two bc you Can". Same as when i take to many. In my mind then. My brain is telling me.your going to be short. But worry abbout it later. Anyone iut here experiencing the same issues? Anyone out here faced the withdrawals from the suboxen? If so could you plz share? And give me some tips on how to handle these symptoms? Suboxen has really helped me. But sometimes i feel as if I should have never got on it. But again it has helped me tremendously. Good luck to the ones trying to taper down or even get help. Thanks in advance

Do you mind me asking what supplements helped you? I'm trying to come off subixen now. Or at least taper down. I've been on it for 2 yes now. But I tend to make than I should at times. I'm more worried about the fatigue than anything. Do you mind sharing what symptoms you felt? And etc. Thank you

Some of your advice is good, but some of it is waaay off. Some peoples withdrawals last months, I have been through it and seen it. Imagine going cold turkey off of 16 mg a day of suboxone. I am pretty sure everyone knows Benadryl is whats in Tylenol PM. A lot of your med advice is spot on, but coffee does increase dopamine. It is just a stimulant which you want to avoid since your CNS is in hyperdrive. I could go on...just be careful giving bad advice about withdrawals and misleading people. Glad you made it through your withdrawals though.
