I had novasure 2006 and my tubes were burned. After 7 months I started with periods again. Thankfully they were nothing like they were before I had the procedure, but i still get them. I wonder if this means the procedure didnt work properly. I was young when I had this done, I had really bad periods and this is what my gyn thought would be the best. ;-)

Hi there, so you are still having periods? That does mean that the procedure didn't work properly, but it sounds like it helped a lot. are you periods better now?

How rude of you, it's not about making a relationship by having a baby, it's completing a relationship by sharing that together. How can you say be thankful for the children you have rather then having another? To tell a woman to use her head is demeaning. We each have different reasons for making the choices we do. I made the same choice several years ago I also have the NovaSur proceedure done because it was the right thing I have 2 children and was experiencing extreme periods & excessive bleeding. Years later I'm remarried and also desire to share the joy of having a baby with my husband, does that me selfish or a bad person because I want this despite of the risks, no, just makes me human.

Just to let you know that I had the NovaSure surgery in October 2008 and found out in April 2009 that I was pregnant. I was told not to try to carry the baby. I believe that God is in control of every situation. I decided to continue the pregnancy and I am so glad I did. I just gave birth to a healthy 9lb 4oz baby boy. Everything went perfect. So dont give up on your dream to have another baby. Trust in God.

I had an Novasure Ablasion without my knowledge, I was told I was having a D&C due to acute uterine hemorrhage with anemia this was done @ the ER!! I have periods every month, they are very heavy clotty and now are painfull! I was told I have a fibroid 6cm. I had my tubes burned back in 2001. My dr told me I have the choice to remove the fibroid with 2 separate surgerys or have my uterus taken out!! Well my fiance and I discussed having a child. I am 39 with 3 natural births, yes my clock is tickkkkin. I have been to several websites trying to get facts. I was told by one facility I could not get pregnant because of the ablasion. I was told by another I could have the fibroid removed and my tubal reversed in one surgery and that I do have a chance on having a healthy child even though I had a ablasion. I am still doing research. I want to thank all the women who are sharing there experiences!!

I am 43 and had a EA about 6 years ago. I also had my tubes tied prior to that. I have since divorced and am in a new and wonderful relationship.
I wish I would have thought long and hard about both of these procedures before having them. Now that my situations has changed I would love a baby. I was living in the moment and in a very unhappy and abusive marriage.
I know the tubal can be reversed but the EA can't. If anyone hears or reads something that might help in my sitution please post here.
I think it's probably a total loss but I keep hoping even though the clock it ticking (very quickly).
All the best to those of you trying and were able to conceive.

Is there anyone out there who knows of a woman having a successful pregnancy after having an endometrial ablation with Nova Sure? I am post op 1.5 years, and have a new husband. I would like to have a baby with him. Does anyone have any advice?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and had a ablation 3 years ago so far I have been able to carry the baby without problems although at my last ultra sound my plecenta is very close to being a previa which is can be very harmful to the baby and me. I cannot find information on pregnancy following ablation and I feel like a time bomb so I just take it one day at a time. I live in a very rural small town in northern michigan where medical care is not the most up to date so anyone out there that can help with any information please let me know and as far as your question yes pregnancy is not likely but I am proof it does happen. my e-mail is please anyone with helpful information or any exsperience with this please let me know. Thank You

I would love to know how it goes for you so keep us posted

I had the novesure procedure back in Feb 2004 and had absolutely no periods or cramping for three years and then all of the sudden started having periods last year and have continually gotten my period since then and right on time. I too am one that wants to have a baby and I'm hoping that since I started to bleed again, that means my uterine wall has grown back..that is possible. It sounds like, in most cases, that people who had became pregnant ended up carrying to term with no problems. I am wondering If a doctor can make that distinction...if he can examine my uterous to see if I am able to first of all, get pregnant, and second...if I can carry to term...what do you guys think? I obviously don't want to risk my life or my babies life but if a doc says I'm ok to try, I sure will!!!

I had my tubes tied in 2007 already had two kids and at the time was going through a very rough relationship! during the admission process I had the second thoughts "tears" but decided to proceed. Since the procedure my monthly periods were come and go and now are so heavy and painful I could just lay in a fetal position for a few days! I'm considering the Novesure procedure BUT am in a very healthy serious relationship with talks of marriage and a baby in the future!

Has anyone had success with reversal of a tubal? after having the Novesure procedure. %-)

I am in your same shoes. I had my endometrial ablation done for medical reasons. The doctor thought it would help. but it didn't. When my fiance and I thought we would be ok with giving up having a child of our own, we were thinking it would help me, but now that it hasn't we feel like we gave that up for nothing and we both long for a baby with all of our hearts. It also breaks my heart when my 7 year old son asks me for a brother or sister because he is my only child, and my fiance's children are 14 ans 18, and don't have time for their dad anymore:(. My OBGYN said since Iwas so young when he proformed the procedure, that it may need to be done again because the lining would grow back over time, which giver me some hope. but I also only have one ovary left so I am trying to put together a puzzle with missing pieces. If you have gotten any helpful information could you pass it on to me I would greatly appreciate it.

I had the Nova sure treatment done in 2007. I found out in March of 2010 that I was 7 weeks along with twins. I had lot of complications, I had a lot if bleeding I was in and out of the hospital. I did wind up miscarrying at 12 weeks, due to one of the twins passing in utero. There are successful stories out there, just have to find a ob/gyn that has treated other women.
