Successful pregnancy after Nova Sure endometrial ablation

I used fertility meds for four babies. I had a tubal ligation and ablation in feb. I finally went to see my dr because I still was having harmone issues, including strange weight gain making me look preggo. Well, The estimation is that I am 20 weeks along (even though this can't be right!). I will go back next week for more tests, including my first of many ultra sounds! 20weeks!

Can you let me know how your pregnancy turned out? I just found out I am pregnant after an ablation in 2007. The things I read are soo scary, but also have read some positve. Thanks

An ultrasound seems to be a ligit way to know if it is true. I went back to my doctor, and now high risk doctors. I am currently 26 weeks (I have only known for 6 weeks that I am expecting!) My goal is to make it to 35 weeks and to schedule a new goal after that.

Kaiser1517xoxoxo,Looking for 2015 information on pregnancy after ablasion. Your post caught my attention because of your location. "Small town in northern michigan". I was also from small town in northern mi. Ablasion in 2007 one previous child. I've been in IVF for 5 years. 2010-present. My uterine lining is healthy and 8mm+ , had all uterine testing done have had regular menses cycle since surgery. My fallopian tubes are blocked so plan is donor egg IVF I'm 39 yrs. Did 1 IVF in Jan 2015 results BFN dr believed poor egg quality. Hoping this year had blessing for you.

Yes I. Had my done in Jan 2013 and guess want Jan 2015 I just started my period again and it's light and just last for 3 days

I had a baby in sept 2011 he will be 4, i had my ablation in aug 2006, yes you can get pregnant but i would not recommend it, i was 41 when i had him, they (drs) were worried , he would not grow normally, i could have bleed to death, could of had to have and emergency hysterectomy, but i had him via c-section he was breech and for good reason my uterus was scarred badly and the cervix was covered and he had no place to come out vaginally, but he was 7lbs 5 oz which is a small baby for me seeing that I had 5 other children that were large I was blessed that he was healthy and I was fine, but after having him, my uterus was scarred and attached to my appendix and my right ovary, I had surgery to correct it but I bleed for 6 months after that and did have a hysterectomy in dec 2012, so yes it is possible but it is a lot of risk, drs appointment, ultrasounds and test, it is something not to take lightly, i wish you luck

You only lost the ability to carry a baby, you can still conceive and raise one. Find a surrogate mother to carry and deliver your new husband's baby. Often someone inside the family (his or yours) is willing to do this and age is not a big factor if you and your husband can conceive a healthy embryo.

My doctor told me that my fertility would be unchanged after the procedure in 2008 and reconfirmed it in 2012. HOWEVER, now that I am trying to get pregnant my new OB/GYN (I moved from SC to MI in 2012) is telling me that it is dangerous, and I would never gotten the NovaSure uterine ablation done in 2008 if I had known that I could not get pregnant in the future because I specifically told the ob/gyn that I was unsure if more children were possible in the future.

Hello, i read your post as of a yr ago, and i have had the same problem ablation done due to heavy periods and anemia. Ni period sence then and was two yrs ago now. I have been hopeful that my body would heal its self and i could have a second chance...i regret it horrible but the dr said it was that ir i have a blod transfusion bc my peruods were so bad with my anemia they had to do SOMETHING. So i chose ablation over blood transfusion. In hope that my body would heal over time, and fear of blood transfusions. But as i see it says that your web was not alwd to posted, however i AM curious! Is Anyway you could possably email me that link?

I see this is an old post, but NOWHERE did she say she was unhappy with her "current" children?! A bit HARSH & JUDGEMENTAL?? I do NOT see MD after your name!!

Miracles happen every day, Who are you to dash her dreams. I'm sure she's got the intelligence to have spoken to her doctor!!
