Wow it's actually goodbto hear others with the same symptoms. BUT has anyone found any relief? I suffered from normal migraines for about 10 years now but have NEVER experienced any pain like these Massivr Headaches! !!! The only difference from the accounts that I have readbis that my headaches do not go away until I'm given medication intravenously via the ER. To me it sounds like there is a condition that is causing our blood pressures to sky rocket and the result are these Massive Headaches. I have another follow up with my doctor on Monday and I'm interested in gis diagnosis. Because this is definitely not Sinus infection symptoms. Again if anyone has any kind of relief please post ASAP

I have had the same issue for at least 15 years. It does not happen every time I have a BM just a good bit. It is scary and I literally have to hold the front and side of my head because it feels like your brain is going to explode. I have seen many doctors and have been diagnosed with migraines but to me this is totally different from migraines because mine doesn't last. It happens and is excruciating and as fast as it comes it goes away. No one can answer the cause of the solution so if anybody can please help because it is no laughing matter when it happens to yoi

I am also a victim of this horrific and scary ordeal. First time it happened was a few months ago. Was sitting on the toilet slightly pushed down to get it out and instant shooting throbbing pain shot up into my neck up thru entire head for about 3 minutes it was so bad i screamed out for help i could feel my pulse in my head each one feeling stronger and deep pressure after about 8 minutes it went away. Esp when i stood up. Sometimes i have bad migranes and when i lay down they intensify but if i stand up they go away. Last night i drank a glass of milk with some cookie i am lactose intollerant so after about 20 minutes i began cramping intensely i also began period same day. Had been constipated for weeks so was looking for relief. About midnight the cramps were so bad i was balled up in tears. Suddenly i had to run to bath room i passed alot of gas then began pushing down not really hard but i held breath to do so. As the hard stool was coming out the same sharp unbearable pain shot up thru neck to head. I grabbed a towel to bite on as i honestly felt like i was dying. I wiped and stood up put my head back all thr way to try n get relief for a split second it worked but it hurt bad for a few minutes longer. I laid back down and minutes later the cramping was back even worse this time so i ran back and this time it was straight fluid not hard stools. I didnt push at all as i was terrified and it just ran out. Pain was worse this time from neck to entire head. Nothing relieved it. I did this for another 6.5 hours back and forth to bathroom. Laying flat made headache worse so i stood up all night running to bathroom. Finally i took 3 excedrin pills laid down and fell asleep for two hours only to wake up to a painful migrane. Havent pooped since10am today but headache is still here. Been taking excedrin all day. Then began to vomit dark brown liquid. Couldnt keep my own spit down no water nothing. Puked the second i swallowed anything. Its now 630pm head headache is tolerable but still painful havent eaten all day. Beginning to drinkna cola now so far so good. I to have chrons diaease. Am lactose intolerant. I am mostly always constipated. I am 30 healthy. Drink pop and water. Eat good. I had two c sections in 08 09 tubal 2010. Began having bm issues after that. Maybe we can find out similarities.

I'm having trouble understanding the responses to this. This has never happened to me before yesterday. It was sudden and intense, but there was no straining as stools were completely soft (diarrhea). It is now 13 hours later, I feel as though I can't move from bed and the throbbing is still intense. I feel like I'm going to die. I know it sounds dramatic, but it is by far the worst headache I've ever had.

I have been dealing with same issues about 2 yrs now. No pushing of straining, soft stool too. Because my pain travels around my head I had 12 nerve block shots in my head. This is something that can done every 6-8 wks. It's been 2 weeks now with no pain however I could not determine frequency, its random. I had brain MRI and MRAngiogram. Waiting for results. I call them alien headaches. Next on to Gastroenerologist. Yes the docs said "that's strange". Apparently it is more common than we knew because we're all writing about it in hope of finding an answer. I really don't have a lot of hope for finding an answer, but in 48 hrs I'll find out something or nothing.

I'm having excruciating pain when having a bowel movement. I thought I was gonna die. My head felt like it was going to explode. So I went to the doctors and they sent me for MRI. They found nothing. My first experience was last Monday and continued until today. Last night I went and had a full body massage and this morning I had a bowel movement without a headache. That's the only thing that helped.

During a horrible bout of Montezumas revenge following a trip to Mexico, these headaches started for me. Excruciating pain whenever I passed stool. Lasted for 6 agonizing days Ended up in the ER- they did CT scan- but saw nothing. Gave me fluids but admitted my blood test did not show dehydration. I knew I wasn't dehydrated- I cried for an hour straight with tons of tears. I read this post in its entirety and saw something about Houstons valve. I never heard of it but starting doing research. I found a fair amount on Ileocecal valve and took what I found to my naturopath. He pressed on my belly and "adjusted" the valve. This made the most sense to me. It wasn't when I strained, it was literally only when stool passed- and only at that moment. It was so severe I know something physical was off. Anyway, he also did some acupuncture. My hand to God, I never had another headache. For those of you who have been suffering for a long time- my heart breaks for you. It was debilitating. Look into the Ileocecal valve and find a doctor who can try and "shut it" for you.

I too suffer from these reoccurring episodes daily. Only when using the bathroom. It's debilitating. I almost wish it would go ahead a take me out. So I don't have to endure what's coming.

I have Ulcerative Colitis and have these excruciating headaches. I live in Cincinnati, OH. I am very afraid to use the bathroom now. I will say the severity has increase where they are not tolerable. I yell out with pain cause I feel my head is going to explode. The increase is after i just started Humira.
