sudden headache when having bowel movement

I would like to know more too.
Same thing happening here.
Mostly started during my prep for a colonoscopy. And now as soon as my stomach cramps, my blood pressure in my head is horrible. My veins in forehead throb and I think I'm going to explode.
I'm not even straining.
If this is a nerve thing something has got to help

Dr.s don't know. But obviously this is more common if I can find others going through this exact same thing

I used to experience this too but no longer.I think the main culprit is a starchy diet.Starchies are inflammatory, abrasive and due to phytic acid in them most of the nutrients consumed just pass down through the gut and into the toilet without brnrfitting you.The solution I'm using a Low carb high fat diet.Google more on this one.I hope it will save souls.

I am the same but my heart also feels like going very fast and I get pins and needles in both feet (every time I poop. If I strain too much I also get nose bleeds. Been goin on for years

i am diagnosed with crohns disease. and i am not sure many know but diarrhea is the main thing here with this disease. and every time i go number 2, i have massive headache's like as if someone is hitting my head with a hammer. This deals with your intestines. folks check your body out. Get a colonoscopy or an endoscopy.
i know it doesn't sound good, i get one down every month to make sure my colon and intestine are ok, and right now I'm not doing so great!

I have same exact problem. The headache is still there the next day. But when it first happens it's the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Like my head is gonna explode. Did u find out why this is happening to u?

Hi, In these forums it Is usual to read personal stories regarding symptoms seeking help; Did you find out what was causing these attacks? I relate to exactly what you went through. (Wake up for a year now every day with tender Neck headache with urgency to pass stool, palpitations, dizziness, very strange I'll feeling).. Later in the day it subsides..so awful

I went to the bathroom to poop and I felt motion of something going up my spine from the tailbone. I was voiding...don't laugh...it was so long I had to rise from the toilet. The intense pain blew out the top of my head. An ambulance was called and ER visit with every test available. At the ER, I had severe vomiting and diarrhea. Doctors would not believe migraine was caused by bowel movement. The next morning the same thing happened but I was ready. I did deep breathing until the bowel movement passed. This gave extra Oxygen to my brain, thus avoiding a headache. If deep breathing helps with delivering a baby...why not a bowel movement. Hope this helps someone. Those who have never experienced this have a hard time understanding. Don't waste your breath.

I have this a lot I have inter cranial hypertension or they call it psudiotumor cerebri found by doing a spinal tap and measuring spinal and head pressure had a shunt put in it helps most of time

Omg this is crazy i have a loose bowl movement and i feels like the top of my head is going to explode. Only started a few days ago but now i am afraid to eat because it is so bad when it happens. I dont believe it myself. And dont know what to do.
