I had eczema as a child untill I was about 7/8 due to dairy so i got put on soy and went alot worse bt goats milk sorted me out....I was suffering bad skin (eczema), running red dry eyes, running noes and sneezing itchy all over, sinus problems ect....
It just went away when I reached 7/8....but in 2010 ( age 20) it started to come back....but not agressive just on and off, I consulted my dr and he said it's the time of year and gave me creams for my skin.
Jump to 2012 my back, front, inner elbows/knees were so bad with eczema aswell as the sneezing, bad eyes and sinus pain....Dr said same thing jump to 2014.
i got a new younger female dr, she seemed to care more but took a long time for her to sort me out a dermatologist appointment....jump to 2015, still coverd still suffering...because my skin was so bad she put me on 4 treatments worth of antibiotics over the year by time the 4th treatment I was sure something was not right as the eczema was now head to toe aswell as developing suriasis and blistering all over, terns out I'm also allergic to pencilin so I was also having an allergic reaction to that aswell. I was not able to work I was bed bound, my friends abanded me as I was not my full of life crazy self anymore I was just a lonely sad guy with no anwers no help no love, I personally don't like taking medication so I wasn't going to pop some more pills and get on antidepressants....after finally getting my dermatologist appointment x2 all they came back with was we can give you a type of pill you take for 6 months, it will heal you but it will make you unwell or light treatment 3 times a week for 6 months, I had my blood tested and all that came back was I'm not allergic to dairy...still no anwers.
over the time of 3 months period I was bed bound for I decided to take it into my own hands...so after doing reserch online I learned you are what you eat/drink.....I seen a quote ....if your car engin light is blinking, changing the bulb won't fix it, you have to sort the engine. My skin and allergys are acting up, taking medicine or putting cream on my skin is only a temporary fix I need to sort my engine, so I cut my diet to water/juice and rice, beans, chicken and veg, with in a month I had improved by half , after 2months I was back to me....not mentally but phisicly 3 months I was back to normal me...with a wiser look on health, people and life in genral.
Jump to early 2016 i started to bring things back into my diet to see what would cause this....
liquids I can't hav are any alcohol apart from cider #thankgod and soy
And foods I can't have are chocolate, jeliton and eggs
If I stay away from them types of processed products, my skin stays clear my sinuses are clear no sore eyes or runny nose or itchy skin basicly go with the cave man diet before we had factory's with all theses processed E.no's
Cheers for reading...hope I helped

I have been suffering from post nasal drip and bad coughing attacks for almost 3 years now. I went to several specialists, and none of the doctors can pinpoint what is wrong with me. I hand my sinuses checked, they said I had a slight deviated septum but didn't think that was the cause of all of my suffering. I went and had my lungs and heart tested, did an esophagus swallow and that all came back normal. The allergist did a test and told me I'm allergic to all the normal things like dust mites, mold, feathers, grass, etc. I have always enjoyed drinking alcoholic beverages...light beer, red wine and vodka/soda. After googling allergy everything, I think it's beer and wine. When I drink wine, sometimes my nose gets so stuffed up I can't even breathe. But then other times I'm fine. Sometimes I get an instant cough, but other times I'm fine. When the cough starts, It takes weeks/months to recover. But then again, sometimes I can drink beer and I'm fine the next day. I just don't get it. I will cough for a month straight, then it goes away for a month, then comes back. It's a never ending cycle/nightmare. I'm seriously about to go out of my mind. When I have the cough, I live on cough drops (keep 2-3 in my pocket at all times) and a huge supply of Kleenex, so I can either blow my nose or spit at any given moment. It's not very lady like, but at this point I don't care anymore. I just want to find out exactly what it is. I am a 50 year old Asian female, and don't turn bright red, get hives, itch, get a sore throat or any of that. Just the runny nose and severe cough. Sometimes I sneeze, but I don't have the terrible sneezing fits that everyone seems to have. I thought I was allergic to gluten, so I cut a lot of that out of my diet. Coughing stopped temporarily, but came back. I've tried allergy meds and nasal sprays, but none of that works. The only thing that has worked was Prednisone, but the cought would come back in a month or two. Help!!!!

Goodness. Im only 22, and whilst drinking a glass of wine I already have this runny nose and congestion symptom. Thank god im home and not out and about. It has been a while since I went out to drink something, and this always happens for the first time after weeks of not drinking.

I'm 29 and I drink a LOT, always have. The sneezing thing started when I was in high school. Now every time I get about 3-4 beers, or a few shots deep I get all stuffed up and sneeze uncontrollably like 15 times. I usually just blow my nose and keep drinking until it goes away. The turning red thing sucks too, I found that spacing my drinking days out more and choosing quality liquor (instead of beer or wine which has more stuff for your liver to filer) leaves me with a cleaner buzz and a painless recovery. Also vitamin C and water in between drinks.

I have suddenly become sensitive to alcohol (sneezing/stuffy nose) and it's not gluten. I eat gluten regularly and this only happens with alcohol.

It's the histamines and sulfates in the wine. It has nothing to do with the grapes.

This same thing is starting for me now. I am 28. I actually have noticed slight nasal congestion in the last couple years when drinking alcohol, but in the last few months it suddenly became much worse. I should say that it started when I had a cold a few months ago, and I don't think I have properly recovered from the cold yet. I don't have the sneezing and runny nose, just congestion. i am in the process of allergy testing now, but it seems to be a relatively common thing that you can't really do anything about besides laying off the alcohol. It could be related to the histamines in alcohol, the mould in beer/wine or even the sulfates In some wines.

Yea same as, I am 35 and it started when I was about 25. It happens when I have my first drink or maybe the third, and even when I am about to start drinking it happens, just for about five minutes. It sometimes strikes me when I get excited about doing something. I'd love to know what it is

I also experience itchy ears and swollen gums. I thought it was an oak allergy from wine aged in oak barrels but is seems to be happening with any alcohol now. I started taking Probiotics, this helps with allergy meds but frankly, I'm not willing to continue chancing it.

I started bad sneezing allergies to Wine at 48 yrs of age after drinking it fine for so many years.
Not everytime though. At age 50, I started getting minor sneezing with Margarita and Vodka.
So far not with Scotch and beet but I am going to watch for scotch and beer etc.

I tried every form of alcohol that's available and it all makes me sneeze. It's got to be the alcohol and not the other stuff in there though some things are obviously worse than others. I agree with the wine-beer-whiskey progression from worst to best. The absolute worst thing I've ever had is Yeungling beer. Just incredible. If you have this problem I advise you to totally avoid this brand. I was fine until my mid-40s but eventually I just had to completely give up drinking and now I feel great. One other note, I would also get those nasal polyps and I found out I could shrink them with Afrin. So, before you have surgery you might want to try to shrink them with Afrin first. This has worked several times for me, even when they were so swollen they were coming out of my nose!

This happened to me in my mid 20s. I stopped drinking for the most part for 10 years. I would occasionally try and have a drink and then regret it. After having 3 kids in my 30s, I tried again and the allergy went away. Completely.
However...now in my early 40s and it's starting to happen again :(.
