Hi, I’m 15 and have acne prone skin. I don’t know how to fight pimples and blackheads anymore. I’m trying to reduce chocolate in my diet, but now I read that all food with sugar and even fruits should be avoided. Is that true?

Hi, I have eliminated chocolate from my diet, but I still have pimples and acne, so it’s not the cause. Besides, the believes on different food effecting acne appearance have always been divided, even among doctors. So, I believe that you have to try for yourself what works for you. I heard that fruit can be beneficial for healing acne and others say that you should not consume even fruit juices except the low-sugar fruit juices. It’s believed that sugar from juices is being absorbed in the blood stream too quickly, inducing hormone reaction. Intake of sugar can induce some hormones, who could cause acne. In some cases sugar can aggravate the situation. Milk is also accused of supporting acne development, but is also necessary for proper bones and teeth structure.
