Hi There,

I had a spinal fusion 6 months ago, and have residual foot pain that may take up to a year to resolve. I am also struggling with profuse sweating (I was sweaty before, but this is ridiculous!). I, too, have gained about 30 lbs since my surgery. I cannot get a straight answer about the sweating. Different docs have attributed it to:
1. the weight gain & being less in shape than before the surgery (therefore simple tasks seem like a workout to my body)
2. reaction to the pain
3. side effect of medication that I'm still on.
I'm not sure which I believe, but I do think it will resolve as I get better, am able to come off the meds, get out of pain, and start living an active life again.

I don't know if that helps you at all, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone *at all*.

xoxo

I will keep you guys posted if I get any different answers after seeing yet another doctor.

I had my gall bladder removed 1 week ago and have time where I am sweating so much I soak my shirt...for no reason. I have to call an schedule an appointment with another doctor to see if I can get any different answers and not that "it's all in your head" look.

I am also having worse pain than I did before surgery and am finding that surgery may not have been such a good idea....a little too late now, I guess. Hopefully I will find out more that can help us all.
