TAKING CARE OF A HEROIN INFANT

Hi my name is Ruth I was born 1969 I want to give some you some hope we turn out just fine for the most part.I also would bang my head on walls Windows ect.They got me to stop that then I went to Rocky myself non stop that I still do to this day.I was put into special programs since I was 3 that help tons.I have ansity issues but with excise does a lot I love to swim go in hot tub help a lot.I had the hardest time reading still do have to read it several time to process what J have just read.My spelling was also my worse part of school why I like spell check now.I have also been dianose as Non Verbal Learning Disordered something you all may want to check out.For many years my iron looked low but that is misdiagnosed as well.Turned out I had MTHFR gene you lack vitamin b-12 C D you go on a gluten free diet that did wonder for so many issues.If there I'd a bad side that be having kids.I end up having two Kid w special needs.Because @ the time my.bio.mom put wrong father on my birth certificate.If I know we r spose to take vitamin K last month.Another one watch out is folic Acid.For the longest time had no issues w Asthma but do now.I wish you all good luck we do over come so much as we age we need people to love &.care for US

I am already seeing this behavior in my 18 month old grandson, which we have adopted. I wish there were books/ articles on what to expect, so we could get the help they need as early as possible. It is like nobody wants to talk about it.

Can a child whos born addicted to heroin n methadone go on to have a relationship and can they have a normal sex life or will this be affected due to their birth

Hey 20 year old that was born addicted to herion! it depends of each child But I developed ADHD early on and severe depression and anxiety with an addictive personality later on. I don't do drugs but I have a binge eating disorder. That's just my personal experience that had a lot of other factors that contributed into why I have these mental disabilities today. Matt, I feel for you so much. I came to this site becauce Iam thinking of fostering my grandson ,also born addicted to herion. What caught my attention in your post was I myself was a head banging baby and child right through adulthood. Grew up with anxitety attacks. Hypnosis therapy with a licienced psycotherapist helped but only for a few years. I find keeping really busy, Grew up in the 70s as a teenager, not alot of help back then. I do take a anxitety medication , I an very carefull with the use of this. Rocking in a chair helps. Lived on a swing as a kid. My focks always thought i was strange. Emerse yourself in some thing a hobby a new business to start. join a church group find one right for you sometimes takes a few visit to get the right one. And for Gods sake dont end your life. .My feet hit the ground in the morning i say its a good day, tomarrow will be better. Hang in there

PRAY...DONT TAKE A BABY IF YOU DONT FEEL YOU CAN HANDLE IT..THAT 8 YEAR OLD MAY TURN OUT TO BE A GENIUS... MIRACLES HAPPEN ALL THE TIME..HAVE FAITH ASK GOD AND NOT STRANGERS ON HERE...FIGURE IT OUT THERE IS NO FAITH HERE ONLY FEAR.....TELL GOD WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THOSE CHILDREN...AND SOMETIMES TELL NEGATIVE PEOPLE TO SHUT UP.....BUT DONT TAKE THOSE KIDS IF YOU REALLY AND TRULY DON'T LOVE THEM AND ARE NOT READY TO FIGHT FOR THEM...BE BLESSED....
