Hello. Recently I have noticed that my left testicle is a bit swollen.
I'm a 45 year old male and I have never had any problems similar to this.
I didn’t pay too much attention on it because I thought it was some trivial thing which will pass away by it self.
Well, it didn’t.
I started to suffer from terrible pains located in my scrotum and I nothing I could do to relieve my symptoms. When I take my testicle in one hand I could fell some bump in it and touching made ma pains even worse.
I contacted my GP and after physical examination he determined that I have developed a testicle cyst and that this was the cause of my problems.
What kind of cyst this really is?
I know a few things about this cyst and I will try to help you!
When fluid collects in a sac anywhere along the testicular tubes or epididymis then a cyst is formed.
The cysts are usually harmless and in general do not cause any pain.
But in cases when cyst became bigger, it can press the nerve ending and cause really strong pain.
Another name for this kind of cyst is a spermatocele. There is one more possible cyst called hydrocele - collection of fluid surrounding the testis or involving the spermatic cord.
Treatment has been surgical removal and is quite effective.
But are you sure that your GP has examined you well, because you should have so terrible pains as you told.
I would recommend that you be reevaluated by a urologist to make sure that nothing else is happening.
In particular, there is an association between testes tumors and hydroceles and you should be aware of this.
Good luck with your examination!

This sounds like a question for your urologist.
Please let us know the answer when you hear one.

I am curious. How does one "sit on my right nut?" I'm serious. I've never had this experience. I would assume you must have incredibly low hanging scrotum and testicles.
How common is this?

Hi,
just browing online. I have had one on my right testical for years. I was worried and I would recommend that anyone with a lump there should see their GP who would then refer you to a specialist if necessary.
It turned out that it was a cyst. He sent me to someone who scanned it on some type of machine. I don't recall if it was radiology or what someone else mentioned previously, but they confirmed what the doctor said.

Read all your stories guys,
Have had a lump myself on my left testicle for the last ten years. It's almost like I have a third one, lol. From time to time it can be uncomfortable, but that's life. My advise which comes from a doctor, is to simply keep an eye on it. Yearly check ups will put your mind at ease.

Not being funny get yourself checked out, i had the same thing in fact i still do, went to doctors very embarissing i know but the doctors dont care, she sent me for ultrasound had that and it was a cyst, i was told he sees hundreds of these a year, he said it may not ever go but ots harmless, just get yourseld down the doctors they are medically trained and know what they are talking about, as embarissing as it is just do it because if it aint a cyst you are doing something that could potentially save your life. I went through it being embarissed but honestly when it comes down to it and your getting checked out male or female they are so professional you forget the embarissing side and deal with it as if your going to the doctors about a chest infection or summit.
hi, i have had pain in my left testicle for about 3 months now. i went and had an ultrasound done and that id**t dr told me nothing was wrong and that i only had a pulled muscle, well i went and got another opinion and that dr read the same report and told me that i have a cyst and he was very upset that i was not told by that other dr. i was sent to a urologist and he told me different things, one was it can't be cancer because that kind of cyst is not cancer and second was because i am in pain he knows it's not cancer because your not in pain if you have cancer, he then turned and said if i was not in pain then he would be worried that it is cancer. then he gave me atibiotics for infection for 7 days and said i will see you in 6 weeks. any advice?
i am a 13 year old and my doctor thinks i have syst or cyst. i am gonna get an altra scan tomorrow. is it harmless of does it affect you in some way?
There is no need to worry, they ultra scan your testicle using just gel, not painful and done in a few minutes
A testicular cyst, diagnosed via ultrasound, has become the size of two testicles and makes cycling very difficult. What is a permanent treatment?
Thank you very much.
I have a cyst on my testicles. What are the side effects of the operation on the testicle cyst?
