I have been suffering for few days where my right testicle has a dull pain which comes and goes but yet its not sore if I check it out. Then at some other times I also get a very mild pain in by abs area to the right but this is hardly noticable and lastly I get a dull pain, feels a little bit dead down the inside of my right leg at the top. I am wondering what this could be. Is it likely to be a infection that I may of caught some how, an STD, or done myself some damage some how. please help cause am worried...
did you ever find out what this was? i have similar symptoms

I've had this same problem off and on for a number of years now... recurring but non-continual dull pain in the right testicle and the cords above it, often radiating up into the stomach area. First off, stop poking at it.. it just makes the pain worse :-P According to my various doctors (and they all agreed.. scary) it's a mild bacterial infection of the vas deferens and the cording just above the testicle. It's caused by a number of things (sitting for long car rides does it for me most of the time) and will heal up on it's own in a few days.. If it doesn't fade away within a week to 10 days, get a medical opinion!

I get this from time to time too, sitting for long hours, also if you haven't ejaculated for many days and have been excited, your seminal bladders may be full and pressing on the walls, when this happens, try wearing a jock strap under your normal underwear pants and a vest/tank top, to keep the waistband/straps from digging in, wear for about 2-3 days, don't take it off. after that time should it still ache, then do a full masturbation session, if a large amount of liquid comes out, then it was liquid build up, if they still ache after that then go and see a doctor straight away. Hope this helps all you male friends out there

Interesting. I have the same symptoms. Only the right one - wonder why.

Seems to come on primarily when driving. I am 64 and don't remember having this occur before, or at least when I was younger.

An adjustment to a less cramped position seems to releive the symptoms.

I wonder if it's not good to endure the problem. I've been thinking about a long automobile tour, but am a bit concerned that there is a problem beyond what I am aware of.

I want to provide my experience in hope it will help others. I am 29 and overall very healthy. I had been experiencing a dull ache in my right testicle. No problems sleeping, felt best in the morning, but worse as the day went on. I went to a urologist who did an exam and ordered an ultrasound, which showed nothing. He was stumped. The pain was never severe. There was never any bleeding, no problems urinating or having an erection, no pain during ejaculation and no signs on an infection. Just a pain letting me know the testicle was there, almost like someone was holding the spermatic cord or like the cord was inflamed. Right testicle never had a problem, felt fine. Luckily the pain would come and go and left for many months. It did return though. Again, not severe but an ache or dull feeling, like someone was holding the spermatic cord. I made another appointment, this time seeing a doctor opposed to a physicians assistant. The doctor right away said, 90% of the time when you have a pain in your testicle it is due to back pain. He examined the testicle and said it was fine. He said he believed it was a pinched nerve in my back. He advised me to take an anti-inflammatory drug like IB Profin when needed or visit a chiropractor if I felt the need. I prefer anti-inflammotory foods over drugs when possible. I searched the internet for foods to help a pinched nerve. 1st site I found said the best remedy was Omega-3 as in Salmon. I ate salmon 2 nights in a row and the problem completely disappeared after two days. I now take a flax seed oil pill twice a day to provide omega 3. Walnuts are also good for omega 3. My issue was a very minor but persistent problem. Adding this to my diet solved my issue, I hope this helps others.

hi there, i've been experienced very similar issues to you - constant dull pain in right testicle/spermatic cord (for about the past 10 months now), had an ultrasound - everything seemed fine, also, no signs of infections...was your urine darker in colour than normal? mine is, unless i've been drinking a decent dose of water.

i'm going to try your approach and increase my omega-3 intake, as i'd much prefer dietary treatment than drugs.

i've been checking all sorts of forums on the internet but your symptoms sound closest to mine. thanks for posting - wish me luck!

I'm 17 and have exactly the same problem. Did it ever go away? If so, was it of its own accord or did you do something to make it do so? I've had it for 6 days now, and it hasn't shown any sign of going away and I'm starting to get worried. I was going to go to the doctors, but I've had a look on here and on other sites and doctors seem to come up with all kinds of things in response to it, varying from telling you to not wearing boxers, to taking ibuprofen, to saying it's an infection that will go away on its own...  so i don't know if going would be that helpful.

i tried boosting my omega-3 but to no avail, unfortunately. i've since been put on painkillers (which turned out to be anti-depressants - i'm not depressed, i might add!) which eased the discomfort for a couple of weeks, but the discomfort has returned. i see my specialist in a few weeks time. hopefully he doesn't suggest just increasing my painkiller dosage.

i've noticed a recurring theme with most of us posting on here, a lot of us seem to be sitting down a lot and that's when we feel the discomfort. unfortunately, my job involves me to do so.

I have had the same symptoms for 20+ years. The problem is that your blood PH balance is out of wack. Not eating enough vegtables and fruits and eating too much sugars or other un-healthy eating.

Something that really helps me is to drink 2 tablespoons of apple-cider vinegar diluted in water 8 oz of water. Do this 3-4 times a day. It has made a huge difference to me since I've used it, I hope it helps you too.

I've been having similar symptoms as described above. A dull ache in my left testicle, not really a sharp pain.  Went to urologist, he believes it may be prostitis so started me on doxy 100mg BID x20 days.  Discomfort went away by day 10 on abx, however, the day after I ran out of them the discomfort was back so abx was restarted. I'm not 5 days in and still have the discomfort so hopefully the abx will cover it again.

It looks like this may be an atypical appearance of prostitis.  Hope this helps.

Glad to hear that this dull ache isn't necessarily serious and, in most cases, is not serious. I've been experiencing an off/on, dull ache or throb for about a month.  Of course the first thing that went through my mind was the "c" word (cancer). I won't necessarily rule that out until a doctor does an examination but my mind is more at ease now that I've read this forum and a couple of others.  On the other hand, my oldest brother did end up with testicular cancer and had one of his testicles removed back in the 80s.  He died a few short years later while riding his motorcycle but he told me that it didn't hinder his sex life.  I'm hoping it's not something that runs in my family.  My dad, other brother, and uncles have never suffered with any type of cancer so I'm telling myself and I'm safe.
