Well, today it's beginning to look like the bomb scare was mostly in the minds of the media types.
The story we got at noon was there was a bus coming to Portsmouth from Portland and they had a threat about a bomb on the bus. The next report was that it was in Portsmouth and they had evacuated the area and were dealing with the passengers etc. Then they had them all off but the bomber who was refusing to leave the bus.
That had to make you wonder why they allowed the bus to come into the city. Wouldn't it make more sense to stop it on the turnpike, out in the boonies?
Apparently, what really happened was the bus stopped in Portsmouth and a passenger who was getting off told the driver there was a suspicious package on it. The driver got off and disabled the bus and called 911. When all the apporpriate police got there, they had the passengers get off one a time and they took them into custody to check them out. One guy refused to get off and there was a standoff until late evening. He was a refugee from Somalia or Sudan where they trust the police less than we do here and he was afraid to get off.
So there never was a bomb. Just a false report of a suspicious package and a guy who didn't speak English who was afraid of the police.
The TV station had a beautiful video feed from someone who lived in an apartment overlooking the scene, which they broadcast all afternoon and part of the evening.

WOW bomb then no bomb. Jeeze what a mess. Thens scared of the police. Man you have had an exciting couple of days huh. So other than that how os everything. Srry I didn't mean to scare you njoy. I was just in shock after everything that happened. I just couldn't beleive all the name calling and meaness!!!! But I am back now!!!!! And staying. Well I just got here and it's already tomorrow, so tell me what happened TM.
I had a nice thing happen to me this morning.
I went to the supermarket to pick up a plant for my wife for Mother's Day. On the way to the self checkout lane a young lady who was leaving, turned and handed me a coupon that was good for 25% off.

Wow that was nice of her. Well you know my grandmother past away 3 months ago and she was like my mother. So today is horrible I miss her so much. I think I'm going to spend sometime up at the grave yard!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be on later!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(
